I’ve waited for three days for someone to say “You have read Edgar Allan Poe’s biography” but nobody posts anymore (not here, not in other threads: Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, Boxing Day, then the weekend…) I’ll go again, then; number three was the lie, I did read Poe’s biography a few months ago (he was a jerk). I’ll try to make it less strange so that more people play. I hope to lose this time:
1) I did Zen meditation in a monastery at a certain point in my life
2) I believe in reincarnation
3) I’ve read different translations of the Book of Tao
“Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)

You have to have a little patience, Oudis. It is the holidays, and people are otherwise engaged, bloated with food and drink, or (as in my case) feeling ill!

Number 3 is the lie.

@Oudis, out of the last 10 days i have had one day (27th) of not running around doing things. Its a very very busy time for most people and in the small amount of breathing space they have coming on the forum and posting might not be their priority. Its always the same on the forum at this time of year.
I would go for 2 but the rule is two folk guess and if both are wrong the lie setter goes again.

The lie was number 2, indeed. I believe that there is no “soul”, just synapses in the brain; when we die we cease to exist, we don’t reincarnate, we don’t go to Heaven or Hell. I did do Zen meditation at a monastery and the Book of Tao is one of my favorite books (one of these days I’ll buy and read the I Ching)
I don’t know, @meanmistermustard, it’s up to you. If you want to play this by the book I’ll go again, but if you have three interesting options feel free to post them. Just let me know. Oudis.

Thank you @C.R.A., thank you @meanmistermustard. These are my statements:
1) When I was thirteen I saw an episode of Night Gallery based on a story by Howard Phillips Lovecraft –Pickman’s Model. That night I couldn’t sleep.
2) Last summer I read a book of memoirs of people who actually knew Howard Phillips Lovecraft (title: Lovecraft Remembered.)
3) I own a copy of the classic biography of Lovecraft by L. Sprague de Camp.

Pretty much anything written by deCamp is a lie, so I’ll go with #3.
You’re right @C.R.A., number three was the lie. I did read the biography when I was in my teens, but I borrowed it from a library. Is it that bad? I was thinking about buying it. Please recommend a good alternative if you know one.
The other two options were true: I saw an episode of Night Gallery based on a story by Lovecraft that didn’t let me sleep and I read Lovecraft Remembered.
Your turn.

Hummmm, Paul doesn’t tell us which shoulder. I guess we are free to pick either one while listening to the song.

Well, I’ll take the win.
1. I was asleep at the stroke of midnight as 2015 arrived in the time zone I am in.
2. I am going to eat at McAlister’s Deli for lunch today.
3. I can raise one eyebrow at a time (independent of the other).
