Hmm…I’m not sure whether George/Pattie or Ringo/Maureen were married first, but I’m pretty sure Linda was present.

I’ll say…Linda and Mo.

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I’m pretty sure that the wives present at Shea Stadium were Linda and Barbara Bach…am I right?

Thanks! Ok, forget my last question if anyone saw it, far too easy for ‘hard’ trivia. I have a much harder one here. And it starts with a story…(sorry, it doesn’t really work without it)

It was 1964, and The Beatles had just been introduced to marijuana. One night, they were high and they were messing around, when Paul thought he had found the answer to the universe. He wrote it down on a piece of paper and gave it to Mal Evans. The next day, they found it and opened the piece of paper. But, can you tell me what it said?

Wait – I thought it was seven levels, not seven steps…

Yeah, that sounds right.  Levels, steps, it’s all the same, really.

Hmm, I dunno…I personally think that a precise verbatim answer should be necessary in some cases; and that this is one of those cases. But I haven’t got a dog in this fight, so I guess unknown and egroeg should decide for themselves who gets to ask the next one.

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

OK…rather than leave it in limbo, I’ll ask one myself!

Who was the first artist to place a song written by LENNON/McCARTNEY on the U.S. Pop Charts? (In June of 1963!)

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Del Shannon with his cover of From Me To You .

Who recalled a meeting with The Beatles in song with the lines, “The four kings of EMI/Are sitting stately of the floor,” and what was the song?

Well, that’s easy, it was I Saw Her Standing There  performed with Elton on Thanksgiving 1974 at MSG.

Now, that’s that cleared up, let’s kickstart the thread.

Melody Maker journalist Richard Williams received a telegram from John and Yoko in 1969 where they said, “We both feel that this is the first time a critic topped the artist. We are not joking.” What Williams review were they responding to, and what about it had prompted their telegram?

The review was of the Wedding Album experimental release by John and Yoko. The part of it that prompted the telegram is when he explained how “the pitch of the tones alters frequency” and “creates an uneven beat.” (Thank you Beatles Bible!)

So… what pseudonym did John use during his solo career?

I don't expect you... to understand after you've caused so much pain. But then again, you're just a human... a victim of the insane.

Dr Winston O’Boogie, of course! (I think)

What are the four Beatles middle names? (this is a 3/4 trick question, though for different reasons)
