He became Paul’s grandmother, the other one.

What was going on in the song “What Goes On “?

Communism Manifesting in your heart, in your mind.

Are there any perfect square numbers in Beatles songs? (perhaps a run time?)

Many, many Beatles songs are in 4/4 time and thus abundant in perfect squares; the rest were more rounded or triangular, with the occasional rubbery elongated ones for variety.

How did America react when John Lennon declared, “We’ve taken more LSD than Jesus ever did; in fact, I’m under the influence right now! a-hard-days-night-john-3“?

America reacted bathing each and every Jesus in LSD.

Why Pete Best fired all the other Beatles after their first EMI audition?

Pete decided he’d rather be a Marx brother than a Beatle… Ringo played drums better.

Is the number 11 mentioned anywhere in the Beatles catalog?

Ah, you allude to the rumored axed verse of All Together Now . We will probably hear Carnival Of Light before we hear that verse. Wonder why Paul wants to keep it from seeing the light of day. mccartney-shrug_01_gif

Is that true?? Was it recorded and cut out, so an inch of tape contains it and is lying on the floor of an EMI vault?

Five. Four came rocking in two by two, then Henry waltzed in.

What fashion trend was inspired by the Beatles wearing collar-less suits?

After going collarless,The Beatles continued in gradually removing pieces of their everyday dress: First shortening their trouser-legs, then developing sleeveless-ness, and eventually seeing their way to creating the revolutionary and much-imitated “suitless suit”:

With the above photo, modeling the newly-christened “Reveal Suit,” slated for the album’s cover, the cash-conscious foursome felt they would increase sales of both if the name served double-duty as the album’s title as well. As Ringo hyped on the back cover, “What’s astonishing is how these off-the-rack suits fit like they were tailored by Savile Row’s finest!” Also faring well in the U.S. market was their tie-in single “No-wear Man” backed with “What Goes On Comes Off.”

On which album did John take the Reveal Suit to the next level?

The White Album , wherein John contributed songs like “Dear, Prudently take my clothes off” as well as “looking through a Glass Blouse”, The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill (the Stuttgart rpist), Happiness Is A Warm Golden Gun (love is required whenever he’s hired) and others.

Yoko contributed to Revolution 9 saying “when you become naked”, which loosely refers to Lady Madonna ‘s baby at her breast, something Paul was obsessed with.

If you are a Monty python fan, you will recall the Fliegender Zirkus skit with Little Red Riding Hood. Faux pas, but I figured experiment and put it in wouldn’t hurt once.

I am a huge Python fan, yes, but I’ve only seen those few German episodes a couple of times, decades ago, so had to look up the reference. I thought it was a jarring thing to read here, especially among anyone who wasn’t aware of the original context.

Anyways, you responded to my objection, thanks. So I’ll… stay-on-topic

Ringo forgot his sledge and he was not for walking back down.

What was the infamous and forgotten reply by George when asked if he was annoyed not being on the Beatles single ‘The Ballad Of John And Yoko ‘?

John, Paul, Yoko are all 4-letter words. I’m not.

Gracie. John was a massive fan having seen him play live one lunchtime in 1947.

Why are there only Lennon/McCartney penned songs on the UK ‘A Hard Day’s Night ‘ album?

George and Ringo had each hoped to contribute to the writing process, but John and Paul convinced them that there weren’t enough pens to go around.

What was the title of the title track from 1968’s The Beatles (also known as the “White Album “)?

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.
