I take it these are the proper US mixes with all their oddities and not what Apple did with the 2014(?) box where they substituted most with the 2009 UK remasters.

Paul never overcame the Decca rejection in 1962 and the years later success of ‘Silence Is Golden’ and other material had him terrified The Beatles would again be rejected. Paul was pleading for the Tremeloes to stop but their success continued and the Beatles split.
Why did it take the Beatles four years to record Ringo’s ‘Don’t Pass Me By ‘?

Why did the Beatles take four years to record Ringo’s Don’t Pass Me By ?
They passed it up, as they were busy Boys Wanting to be a loving man to their girlfriends underneath the sea in the Octopus’ Garden. They got to that point around 1965 when they all moved in together and lived in a Yellow Submarine , but had to get out of there because Paul kept leaving the oven on despite Ringo saying “Honey, Don’t!”. Ringo, however, moved out first when he got a role in a move where all he had to do was Act Naturally , and With A Little Help From His Friends, he finally got them to record the song he wrote while Taking A Trip on an Ocean Liner- to Carolina.
