Trick question – the track also featured birdcalls by a bird who was temporarily a member of the Beatles.

On what gently-weeping instrument did Eric Clapton contribute a solo for the track “While My Guitar Gently Weeps “?

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Clapton did the finger-picking on “Blackbird ” –his style can be easily recognized.

What kind of popular English snack did Paul buy when he went to Penny Lane ?

(Post Scriptum: Can you imagine someone who doesn’t know anything about The Beatles reading this thread and getting all his data wrong?)

An innuendo.

Who was the Beatles producer named George Martin, the one that looked like this: george-martin?

Oh, you must be talking about the record producer, arranger, composer, conductor, audio engineer and musician who helped fill the gaps between the Beatles’ raw talent and the sound they wanted to achieve. Most of the Beatles’ orchestral arrangements and instrumentation (as well as frequent keyboard parts on the early records) were written or performed by him. It was this man’s idea to put a string quartet on “Yesterday “, against McCartney’s initial reluctance. On “In My Life “, he played a baroque piano solo. For “Eleanor Rigby ” he scored and conducted a strings-only accompaniment. For “I Am The Walrus “, he provided an original arrangement for brass, violins, cellos, and vocal ensemble. That guy.

Yeah, not many Beatles’ fans give him enough credit. His name is John Doe, I believe.

What kind of wood is John talking about on “Norwegian Wood ”?

The Japanese Wood yoko-ono_01…and the rest is history, although he did try to dodge the reality through the song.

What is the word that John read after climbing the ladder in the Indica Gallery?

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

At that point John climbed down the ladder and gave Yoko a weird look, saying ‘How the bloody hell did you manage to write that?’ Yoko shrugged and said ‘Who knows?’ Then John was smitten with her and they fell in twu love and got married. The end.

What is the title of the song written for the video game Destiny that Paul McCartney is officially releasing this Monday, ‘Hope For The Future ?’

The Fascination of Unrequited Love

(Ringo’s drumming on this song is legendary! Hopefully someone will post the isolated track of it soon.)

What was the real reason (as opposed to the “official” reason presented to the media) Linda didn’t marry Paul?

The fifth Beatle – the uninvited guest – Yoko Ono.

Why and when did John start to wear granny glasses?

Why: Because they are X-Ray glasses

When: They day he met Yoko

Would it have been better or worse if Paul married Heather McCartney instead of Heather Mills?

Dude, you need to learn your Beatles a little bit better. They don’t all live together on ONE album. They are spread across THREE albums. Sheeshhhh. The level of non-understanding of some people. paul-mccartney

That’s right folks. That IS NOT a way to answer questions on the BB.

In which month did Ringo and Pattie get a divorce?
