Trick question. The song title was developed before the song and was originally called Lovely Rivita. It was originally about Paul eating a Rivita while on LSD and seeing it come to life before him. A simple typo on a list of what songs were to be recorded on one day meant the other three thought it was about a ‘meter maid’ called Rita. Paul had to change the lyrics at the last minute.

It is a little known fact MPL Communications helped develop the Commodore 64. The other three Beatles thought it was best to keep out of the game project because the console it was on was named after Paul’s song When I’m Sixty-Four . Had it been named after a song all four contributed to the writing of (e.g. Flying , Dig It ), they would’ve joined in. Other games on the Commodore 64 include Tetris (with the slogan ‘Put It There’) Super McCartney Bros (Paul and Mike) and Paul McCartney ‘s Moonwalker, where Paul tries to get his song rights back from MJ.

Offline He arrived late and was surprised to find The Beatles recording a song about a murderer.
