Offline Ringo got a hole in his shoe whilst drumming one day in the studios and said “Oh heck!! A hole in me rubber sole!”. John and Paul heard this and went off to write a song together, thankfully it was ditched after a few hours of recording but the phrase stuck and a few years later when in need of an album title Ringo reminded them of it. The track itself was deemed so awful they sent the lyrics anonymously to Pete Best to record and then had an EMI operative burn the tape reel of their own recording outtake disaster.
Why did Paul throw Ringo out of his house when he came to visit in 1970?

Offline Because you see the Beatles were more focused in living in the moment rather than dwelling on the past and when Paul wrote the song they all thought it quite offensive and refused to participate. That is why the band broke up. Don’t let them tell you otherwise.

Are the rumors of a new, expanded deluxe edition of Revolver true? What will be on it?
Yes, it will feature the legendary lost semi-title cut, “Rev. Lover”, which is the backing track from “Eleanor Rigby ” with an alternate backwards vocal detailing the story of how Father McKenzie, her “Reverend lover”, murdered Eleanor Rigby and buried her in the churchyard when she threatened to expose their affair. The track was left off the album at the last minute, after the “more popular than Jesus” controversy, for obvious reasons.
