Why are the Beatles bright blue?

to which natureaker responded
Because they didn’t want to be dark Deep Blue

Paul won an essay contest when he was 10 years old. What was the topic he wrote about?

The musical and generational Revolution that was going to sweep the nation within the next twenty years. He was commended for his imagination at the time, but it was only later, when his prophecy came true, that the grown-ups fully appreciated the depth of his wisdom.

What was George’s favoured method of ringing in the new year? Hint:

Ahhh Girl said Sitting cross-legged playing his guitar.

As a matter of fact, despite the myth perpetuated by Mr Starkey (‘long-haired cross-legged guitar picker’), I don’t think I’ve ever seen George sitting cross-legged playing the guitar. And I’ve seen a lot of George.

But I could be wrong…

Fill in the blank
I never give you my _____________
I only send you my ______________

I never give you my new songs
I only send you my latest record

It was a message to Billy J Kramer, saying they didn’t want to give him any songs, but would be happy to give him their latest record. Brian Epstein managed to convince them otherwise, though, and the ditty was shelved until Abbey Road , when it appeared with changed lyrics.

First, he’d wring it out. Then get it wet again with his favourite tipple and ring it in again. Then listen to his favourite cat operetta, The Meowkado, with his favourite character the Lord High Executioner of Kitty-Pu. Of course, in his iguana phase this was all thrown over for musicals, West Side Iguana Story, Paint Your Lizard, The Lizard of Oz, and his all-time favourite, Hello, Reptile!

Why didn’t the Beatles ever write a song with cats in it?

Because they used Home eau de cologne. It was a very subtle and understated scent, based on the smell of furniture polish and tea, with overtones of cooking and newspapers, and a lingering after-taste of guitar strings.  It was custom-made and cost £950 per 13 oz. bottle in the old pre-decimal money.

“Nothing’s gonna change my opinion over those “Ahhh’s”.”

What were the reasons behind using the colours red and blue for the 1973 compilations ‘1962 – 1966’ and ‘1967 – 1970’?

Red = with the real Paul; blue = with Faul– because the other three were, for Paul, blue.
