Offline Its an ailment George got on his foot when staying at the Savoy Hotel in 1966 after the Beatles had quit touring; I wont go into the details as some people may be eating their dinner but the cure is getting it scrapped off. Wanting more song time on Beatles albums George wrote a song about it having not much else to say being the Quiet Beatle. It was the inspiration to Monty Python’s ‘Medical Song‘.

Offline It was called the Mind Games period which inspired an album of the same name. During this time John was trying to make a lot of dough – but realised it would be easier to do that by making a new record rather than by working as a baker.
Towards the end of this period he recorded an album of classical music. What was it called?

Offline Classical Music. It was in response to a lawsuit over the Ahhhs in A Day In The Life which were claimed to be a direct steal from a concerto by Bach. Lennon had to record at least 3 Bach compositions (he chose two fugues and a remarkable rework of a flute sonata for guitar) to satisfy the terms of the lawsuit and he threw in some piano works by Mozart and Beethoven. Controversially, the album was late (due to Jeff Lynne running away with the master after a breakdown) and Lennon had to stave off yet another lawsuit by adding Trois Gymnopédies by Satie. Ironically it was this last cover that led to the album selling well and a top 5 hit with Gymnopédies I

Offline It was called “Give My Regards to Beethoven” and was coincidentally also inspired by some stolen master tapes; with Bingo Bach being the main suspect. It included an enthralling classical rendition of Eleanor Biggs after the train robber of the same name.
