Offline Lennon was a time-traveller, and his greatest idol was Kermit The Frog. For many years he claimed to prefer Ethel The Frog (“the Walrus was Ethel”) but this was just an in-joke with Eric Idle. Many secret messages to Kermit were hidden in Lennon songs, Lime-coloured Amphibians Forever, Croak Together, Jealous Frog, and of course the searing anti-Miss Piggy diatribe How Do You Oink At Night.

Offline Love Me Do – the Andy White version only.
Feedback of the harmonica can clearly be heard over Ringo shouting at Andy White to get off the drums and let Ringo play – it’s why the feedback is so noticeable in version 2 and what easily differentiates between the two. The crash during the fade-out at the end of the song is not Andy hitting one of the drums as commonly presumed but Ringo finally dragging Andy off as one of the drums falls onto the floor – its also the reason why the track fades out.
What was the first Beatles song to not feature any Beatle playing a musical instrument (clue: it was the flip-side of the 1966 double a-side with ‘Yellow Submarine ‘)?

Offline Only A Northern Song . They had the idea to get animals to play instruments, the elephants were brilliant at percusssion and trumpet, but the monkeys kept breaking guitar strings. It was just luck that they found a penguin who could play bass to keep them focussed, but credit is also due to a whale who could sing organ.
