Ringo: (Snooker) Rhubarb
Clever. I had to search Paul’s and Ringo’s as I haven’t yet delved into their solo careers, and needless to say I don’t get the latter’s. But coming from you, I’d again say, clever.
Thanks for the compliment. Ringo’s was a bit difficult, but I chose his song ‘Snookeroo’ to make Rhubarb fit. I love rhubarb pie, so I figured “why not rhubarb pancakes?”.
I told you it was a stretch.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Sorry @Mr. Kite, I hate to be so obtuse but why Paul 1985 and Ringo 8? I don’t get it, please explain.

@Oudis I may not be getting this right, @Mr. Kite may have other things on his mind, but Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five was a track on Band On The Run , while Liverpool 8 was the title song of Ringo’s 2008 album (it was also a single). The song was autobiographical, and named after the postal district in Liverpool where Ringo was born.

Ringo seems more like a mushroom to me, he seems like a fun guy.
Q: What do you call a mushroom who buys all the drinks?
A: A fungi to be with.
As the Musketeers (descriptions taken from Wiki articles on each):
: Porthos – Though he is often seen as the comic relief, he is also extremely dedicated and loyal toward his friends and fellow Musketeers.
: Aramis – He is portrayed as constantly ambitious and unsatisfied.
: Athos – Described as noble and handsome but also very secretive.
: d’Artagnan – His role among the Musketeers is one of leadership (his skills impress the musketeers greatly), but he is also regarded as a sort of protégé given his youth and inexperience (does this remind anyone of 6 July 1957?).

I continue to be very impressed with all the contributions! (For some reason I especially liked Ahhh Girl’s playing cards.) What’s interesting is that with only piddly exceptions, I keep experiencing that strange sensation of agreeing with all the choices…!
Shakespeare plays:
John — King Lear
Paul — A Midsummer Night’s Dream
George — The Tempest
Ringo — Much Ado About Nothing

Not sure I agree completely with this — I would say:
Paul — George Washington
John — Thomas Jefferson
George — Abraham Lincoln
Ringo — Teddy Roosevelt

@Ahhh Girl Decca cards? Love it.
@Starr Shine? said “John: Fire Paul: Wind George: Water Ringo: Earth” (good idea!)
I see Paul more as Water – life giving and the counterpoint to John’s Fire.
Wind being an invisible powerful force I’d attach more to George.
With respect to numbers, 9 is dead on for John.
For Paul I’d think more ’64’ and Ringo ’16’ (“You’re Sixteen”) [fun thread – everyone’s so clever!]
