Thanks, SB.
I’ve had quite a busy week so I haven’t had chance to read through I Me Mine yet, but leave it with me and I’ll find the answer over the weekend.
Of course, someone else might get in first – anyway, it would be good to have other players joining in.

No worries, maybe we should let it rest for a while after this. I’m busy too (just restarted all 3 of my volunteer spots~yeah!). I feel a little guilty when I don’t have time to properly oversee the games I’m part of.

George explained that this lyric refers to “a ‘headache’ as well as a footpedal”.

Maybe we could continue, and I think you might enjoy the next one I have ready, but just post when we have enough time – perhaps several days afterwards sometimes. I hope everything goes well with your volunteering.
I keep inviting others to take part (the more the merrier really!), but I’m certainly happy with your interesting choice of puzzle pictures, SB.
Maybe other people are put off by the large number of songs in total from the solo years, but so far the selections have largely been from the well-known songs?

That’s me song @Richard I never realized until I read his book what that song was about.
That sounds good Rich. Just don’t want anyone to think I’m a Wah-Wah because of my scarce presence. I agree, I don’t think this game will ever appeal to the casual fan.
Yeah, I had to give up all my assignments when I took on my sister’s election campaign. I don’t know if other places are like the Bay Area, but here most volunteer opportunities are filled immediately. So I reapplied in November and all of my previous jobs were surprisingly reassigned last week (I thought it would take a year). Two are food bank related, one is with the Ronald McDonald House, and one is at our local zoo. That one is interesting because my primary assignment is at the meerkat exhibit. They are a trip!!

Likewise. I have never known the word “Wah-Wah ” to mean a “headache”. It puts George’s song into proper context.

Hopefully some other players will join in again at some stage.

Yes, that sounds like it could be fun.
Fairly near here, there is a wildlife park that has meerkats:

Maybe Too Many People ? (That was your first mistake/You took your lucky break and broke it in two) in regards to Decca’s contract decline
Wow, that looks like a cool zoo. Ours is small too, about 1000 critters including a packed petting zoo. It’s funny, my main exposure to Yorkshire has been the various versions of All Creatures Great and Small. It’s hard for me to picture anything besides open countryside.

Oops, I had omitted the Beatle, so I’ve now added “Paul (music)” to my post above. You correctly guessed that part anyway!
No:
Too Many People
Hint:
You also correctly guessed this song’s year of release: 1971.

Maybe you are utilizing I Wanna Be Your Man to highlight the gender confusion present in Get Back ? If so I’ll guess Some People Never Know from Wild Life .

Good idea, SB, but…
No (x2):
Too Many People
Some People Never Know
Hints:
* This song was released in 1971.
* An additional picture clue:
Let me know how it goes with the meerkats. They are generally very likeable animals.

Getting closer, SB.
No (x3):
Too Many People
Some People Never Know
Uncle Albert /Admiral Halsey
Hints:
* This song was released in 1971.
* Here is the combined picture clue with an extra single included:
* Many early Rolling Stones singles would be appropriate for the picture, while most of the Beatles singles would not.
* For Fleetwood Mac, the single Dreams is suitable for this picture, whereas Albatross is not.
* I considered the Dave Clark Five’s hit single Glad All Over , but surprisingly it isn’t appropriate for this picture.

Driving home an idea came to me…
I Wanna Be Your Man : released as single only
Get Back : released as single and included on Let It Be
Dreams: released as single and included on Rumors
Yesterday : released as single and included on HELP!
WMGGW: released as single and included on White
Albatross: released as single only
Glad All Over : released as single only
Regarding the Stones/Beatles comparison, I believe the early Beatles as a rule did not include singles on their albums. I don’t think the Stones had a hard rule about singles placement on albums (although Satisfaction was a single only).
As far as I know, McCartney/Wings only released 2 singles in 1971, Uncle Albert /Admiral Halsey/Too Many People and Another Day /Oh Woman , Oh Why. Another Day was released as a single only, so not sure where this fits into my premise regarding the clues.

Another Day is the song, @sigh butterfly!
I’ll tell you my reasoning if you wish, or here are more hints if you would like to figure it out:
* Some Love Me Do singles would be appropriate for the picture, while some Love Me Do singles would not.
* Another Day is the answer although this single would not be suitable to include in the picture clue.
* This relates to a lyric about halfway into Another Day .

Thanks Richard. If we ever have our annual awards again, I’m voting for you as Most Patient Forum Member! I keep coming back to the “sound of five” lyric, which I believe was a popular radio show in the UK. Gotta give it some more thought, so don’t reveal yet.

That’s perfect, @sigh butterfly! Thank you for the lists.
I wonder if @Ron Nasty or another forum expert knows anything about the ‘Sound Of Five’ show? I had never heard of this show before apart from two indirect online references. For example, the following post is shown online:
According to my Dad “The Sound Of Five” was a British radio Show in the 1960’s that dealt with peoples problems. People would write letters to the radio company with their problems and the “experts” would discuss them on air.
I thought that the “sound of five” in the lyrics may instead refer to posting a letter at 5 o’clock (with bells chiming perhaps) as she leaves work, but the radio show reference seems more likely if it is genuine. Maybe it was only broadcast in the London area?

Thanks @Richard that was a fun one. Afraid the record collector in me got caught up in the minutia of the label information. I have Paul’s recent lyric book. I’m going to check if he mentions “sound of five”. Here’s a little image for a child’s holiday (John tune). I’m happy today because we have a new baby in the family, the first in the last 6 years!
