I don’t think we should add punctuation marks, it takes a tiny bit of the skill out.

Well it’s currently part of the rules to do so, so I was under the assumption that there weren’t any in that last puzzle because of that. Whatever is decided should be put in the rules, and we should stick to that. I’m sure that rule was decided with good reason after some discussion because if you look at the first couple games it’s clear they didn’t start off with the rules we have now. I think starting off with punctuation is too easy, but I like the rule of adding them in once the surrounding letters are guessed. I feel like at that point you should know if there’s a punctuation mark. It’s a lot harder (imo not really in the spirit of the game) to divine punctuation from thin air than to actually guess the letters that are given blank spaces.

I agree with Holey. We’ve played like this for a while now and it hasn’t appeared to cause any problems. Besides, adding punctuation would take away some of the challenge and therefore some of the fun.
I’ll guess M?

@richard, @ewe2 @ScarlettFieldsForever @StrawberryFields91 To punctuate or not to punctuate after the letters around it are guessed, that is the question. What say ye?

Wdym for awhile now, this rarely comes up.
I mean that people don’t generally add punctuation and the puzzles are still quite guessable without that unnecessary advantage.

As Holey commented: “I don’t think we should add punctuation marks, it takes a tiny bit of the skill out.”
and Fiddy remarked: “We’ve played like this for a while now and it hasn’t appeared to cause any problems. Besides, adding punctuation would take away some of the challenge and therefore some of the fun.”
I agree. I prefer it without punctuation being revealed until the answer is found.
Maybe ask RN’s opinion too?
Thanks, AG.

I’m pretty sure this is the first time the rule would have come into play since I’ve been here. Saying you’ve been playing like this for awhile is pretty meaningless to me. I was under the impression that we were actually following the rules of the game listed in the first post, and it’s really frustrating to find out that we weren’t.
