it’s always unclear if post-1966 includes or excludes the year itself. (many people are different on defining ‘post-‘ prefix)
i’m gonna go with Tomorrow Never Knows
i guess i should set up a signature soon? maybe?

Just to clarify, “post-1966” does not include 1966.
1. It was recorded on four-track tape
2. Post-1966
3. Paul plays a tambourine

Because ?
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

john doesn’t even perform on it, but at the moment it is all i can think of where paul plays tambourine: Savoy Truffle . i’ll definitely have to listen in a little more. i have a strange feeling this track is on the White Album . probably not, but just a hunch

i started to pull my hair out trying to think of what the song could be. so, i went to the beatles bible articles for the each of the albums and singles after 1966. and it will list who is credited for playing on what instrument on that album or single. and i cannot find one song that meets the criteria of clues 2 through 5 all together. maybe i slipped and looked under a john credit for tambourine when i meant to look under paul, but would you please pull up your song on beatles bible and double check. just in case.
i guess i should set up a signature soon? maybe?

thank you for checking
most of my info on who played what comes from this site. perhaps on one take he did, but on another take gave it to ringo or something.
i do know of a track where the paul, john and george all sing lead vocals and ringo is credited with tambourine (atleast according to this site). Sgt. Pepper reprise.
edit: we needs some kind of alert when there’s new posts on the page you’re on that way when you’re typing something you know it will come in after something else.
i guess i should set up a signature soon? maybe?
