… think that it's fine to have Pete Best Street or Stu Sutcliffe Way, or whatever.
… have now made it my mission to visit Paul McCartney Way, John Lennon Drive, George Harrison Close and Ringo Starr Drive.
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Especially in Liverpool. I think I'd prefer it if they focused on preservation and restoration rather than renaming streets and making goofy looking monuments. But that just my 2¢ US.

I would prefer that shift in focus as well. But, if it doesn't cost much why not?

So? That doesn't mean he “doesn't deserve” something. (Unless it's something like a place in the Rock&Roll Hall of Fame.)
Anyway, it's pretty predictable now. Remember on that one thread when Von Bontee said “Countdown until paulsbass chimes in and says it was actually Paul saying [something I can't remember]”? All we have to do (is call you on the phone) is say “Pete Best” and you start complaining.

And….. Pete Best is a free loader, someone who is cashing in on his short tenure of a band who wasn't anything special at the time. Haven't you got enough, Pete? Nobody says he has “almost equal stature” as Ringo. He's getting a street named after him. Ringo has a star named after him, for heaven's sake!
