Welcome to the board. Sorry, can’t help with that particular question except to note you could make your task easier by asking for a full list of the Beatles entourage who DIDN’T hate Yoko. You could probably fit them all on a 1 inch post-it note.

My mostly uninformed off-the-cuff answer was going to be “everyone but John.”

I thought George Martin didn’t mind her, thinking it was all a bit weird but, ever the professional, just got on with it. But yeah find down a list of everyone who was part of their entourage and circle those who did like her, it will be quicker and easier than compiling a 4 page list of who didn’t like her.

Most memoirs are tactful or diplomatic, so you have to read a little between the lines. One of the more upfront accounts is Tony Bramwell’s Magical Mystery Tours, where he doesn’t hold back in slagging her off. The only one I can recall which is wholly positive about her is Dan Richter’s memoir – he was their assistant at Tittenhurst etc, but wasn’t really part of The Beatles’ circle.
It also depends on how you define the entourage – it was actually very small, unless you include people like Apple staffers or studio engineers. Those people were more likely to keep quiet rather than slag off their employers’ partners.

Peter Brown, Epstein’s assistant, in “The Love You Make” also disparages her. Both he and Bramwell give very specific examples of why they disliked her so.

Sure, it’s actually quite easy: everybody but John.

well I’m thinking of writing a book about a broader topic that includes a chapter on Yoko.
Now I’m familiar with Frederic Seaman, May Pang, Tony Bramwell. Are there any others who were a part of John and Yoko’s world who had pointed things to say about Yoko ?
btw I’m happy to see the amount of responses here, and since I consider the Beatles the best band that ever was, AND the best band that ever will be, I’ll probably be a contributor to such a busy forum about the fabs.

These threads are disgusting. Have any of you even bothered to look up her origins beyond what wikipedia says?
Why would we? Wikipedia knows everything.
It may be worded poorly, but a lot of people did not like Yoko, because they felt she was intruding. It’s a fact of the Beatles. No one said they hated Yoko, only gave examples of people who seemed not to like her.

There are a lot of opinions out there about Yoko. and a lot of anecdotal evidence that she’s deserving of some of that hate. Then again if you choose you can believe the Jann Wenner angle that she’s the closest thing out there to Mother Teresa.

George hated her guts…for all the revisionist history, Paul was actually pretty good to her when she came on the scene, at least initially (hell, he let them LIVE with him in early ’69 when they were between Kenwood and Tittenhurst and had been booted out of Monatgu Sq.). But everyone around, even John, have said that George was rude and nasty to her from day #1.

Though there was the nasty case of that anonymous postcard that reportedly caused John and Yoko to flee (I think that was ’68, btw).

This isn’t us slating Yoko so whats disgusting? Its well known that many people in the Beatles circle didn’t like Yoko, they, John and Yoko, even commentated on it the time. It’s a fact and someone asked the question so we all answered.
I have read Jonathan Gould’s chapter on her in ‘Can’t Buy Me Love ‘ and it didn’t make me like her any more or less than I did before or want to read more.

I have to say that no matter what I read from people who give their reasons to dislike Yoko, I still like her. Fred Seaman’s book has a lot of bad things to say about Yoko (in her relationship with John, not with The Beatles), but she was basically just like John–two peas in a pod. Both narcissistic, both self-serving. You can’t really blame her for having an affair when John already did the same thing to her…or for wanting to divorce him when he probably wanted the same thing at some point.
