Cool article, shocking (??) news!
Paul McCartney is probably the least likely candidate to have played
Cupid to Yoko Ono and John Lennon . In an interview to mark what would
have been Lennon’s 70th birthday today, Yoko reveals that McCartney took
a leading role in bringing the couple back together after what her
errant husband called his “lost weekend” in Los Angeles.

Anyways, something else, a doubt shock me: is “can't buy me love” the Liverpool-dialect way to say “can't buy my love”?
If it's so, I would feel like a complete moron, for just now noticing it…
I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.
John Lennon
I don't think so. “I don't care too much for money, for money can't buy my love” doesn't make any sense. Either way, The Beatles didn't really put much Liverpool dialect into their songs until later on (Polythene Pam , Penny Lane etc)

Interesting article. Actually someone in another forum mentioned that Linda McCartney in a book or in an interview reported this but that was not the way it happened. They couldn't find the quote. Does anybody know about it??

That's also interesting. Paul told a similar story to Yoko's in Many Years From Now, so if you can find that article with Linda I would love to read it.
Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

Oh, for Lennon's sake! I can't stop quoting three things: Simpson's phrases, Zoolander quotes and Beatles' songs.
I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.
