Michael Jackson covering “Come Together .” Not a bad cover, but I’m experiencing a bit of cognitive dissonance with the combination of Beatle song, hip thrusts and vinyl pants.
Also: Sean spotting.

Reminds me of the Come Together cover by J-LO and Mary J Blige. Not sure what is worse, their rendition or their wardrope.

Pretty bad rendition, but honestly, I really like the organ and guitar at the start.

In light of last night’s performance, The Guardian picks some of the best and worst Beatle covers. [x-posted to the best Beatles cover thread]

Just believe that someone somewhere who heard that went and found the Beatles original, discovered talent, and is now listening to Pepper blazing out with a smile on their face.
Its all we have.

First and foremost, I’m a fan of the harder rock variety but still a huge Beatles nut. Right now, a band named Koritni is dominating my iPod. They originate from down under but are currently spending a lot of time in France (where they’re gaining a lot of popularity) and the continent. They’ve got a cover of Got To Get You Into My Life on iTunes (which I liked). The video is from some bar/club and is fan-shot. The sound quality isn’t that great, but…

Sandy Farina’s cover of Strawberry Fields Forever on the movie Sgt. Pepper . Not a bad version, just lacks the natural quality of John on the original.
By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

Wait a second…. I was just quoting John. Sorry. Here’s an apple to apologize.

I can’t find a link for a video, but the band Atom And His Package (known for tongue-in-cheek covers at times) has a track called P.P. (doo-doo) which is a cover of Polythene Pam , followed by someone starting to sing (off key) “She Came In Through The Bathroom Window ” at which point Atom says “shut up” and the song ends. I can’t call it good, but it’s good in a bizarre way.

The Michael Jackson cover of “Come Together ” was remarkably straight — to the extent that it worked, all thanks should go to the genius of Paul & John.
It puts me in mind of an interesting imaginary cover: Prince doing “Come Together “…

That just shows you how psycho some musicians are.
