I honestly don’t even know what he was doing in 1979.
Baking bread and keeping up with the baby, occourse! Oh, and getting pissed at George for not mentioning him much in his book.

It’s difficult for me to pin down an absolute favorite look for each. It is easy, however, to pick a worst look and that is any photo of any one of them in which the only facial hair is a moustache. Especially Paul.
For me, John looks actually the best in his Sgt Pepper look
Isn’t that adorable?
Paul looks quite good with the mustache too but my favourite look of him is what parlance described as the Hot Paul Period
Really sweet!
Ringo’s best look is this one in my opinion ( about 1981):
And this is my all time favourite picture of George (though A Hard Day’s Night George was really close):
These are the worst looks in my opinion:
I won’t elaborate on them – it is too painful…

Best:
I really like the look he had during The Beatles sessions (also known as the White Album ), he has that cool guy look, nothing like the clean cut look he sported just 4 years earlier.
Worst:
John looks he’s in his 50’s in this picture, I can’t stand to look.
Best:
I can’t think of a cuter male than Paul McCartney from 1968, even as a heterosexual male I must admit that if I were an 18 year old girl back in 1968 and I saw this picture, I would hang it up in my room and drool over it and dream about being Mrs. Paul McCartney , Paul is the cutest Beatle and I can definitely see why those were girls were screaming and hanging outside of the studio, back in the 60’s Paul could get any girl he wanted without even trying.
Worst:
Nothing worse than a cute man like Paul covering himself with an ugly mullet and a having a “porn star” (also known as 70’s cop) moustache. Men like Paul were meant to be clean shaven, they were never meant to have facial hair or long hair.
Best:
I think George looked great in 1968, especially with Lucy, his Cherry Red 1957 Gibson Les Paul Standard.
Worst:
You often look bad when you’re dying and this is no exception.
Best:
Ringo is the only Beatle where I can say that he looks better with facial hair than clean shaven, I think he looked his best during 1968.
Worst:
When you’re old, expect to look your worst.
By the way Nathan Clark, 1969 Ringo isn’t post Beatles Ringo because The Beatles were together until 1970, with the last session containing any Beatle being on April 1st, which Ringo was at.

You don’t love the mystical Georgietail? I think he looks gorgeous!
I can imagine how much more beautiful he’d look without the beard!
Yum.
You’re right he’d probably look amazing without the beard but I just don’t like the beard itself. It’s so strawy and covers his great chin!

Just peeking in here. Placeholder, I’ll think this one through and come back. But I will say, for John, 1967 ca. Sgt Pepper is up there, loved that short haired mustachioed look. Be back in a bit…

Yeah, I agree. The mythical Georgietail I mind not, and he’s kinda cute in that pic, actually — his expression, anyway. I wouldn’t mind Jesus-George without the beard. His chin is too good to cover up, and his beard isn’t even that impressive (sorry Geo).

I know, the post Beatles picture I used was taken in 1974. I like it cause it looks just like 1969. 🙂

1962: Immature and searching for an identity
1963: boyband and bubblegum (especially those horrendous silver colored suits)
1964: Cleancut but a little more mature
1965: The Shea stadium suits, general clothes, music and the style around the recordings of Rubber Soul were great, cool, fresh and awesome
1966: Their best period (especially John’s and Ringo’s)… Nothing beats the style, clothes and sunglasses combined with the crunchy “semi-psychedelic” guitar tracks around the time of Rain and Revolver .
1967: The mysterious psychedelic period where you can imagine them being loners in the autumny woods or in “deserted” places with long coats, scruffy hair and moustaches just tripping out and dreaming (Strawberry Fields, Fool On The Hill, Blue Jay Way , Flying , and more).
1968: The independent period where they all had different styles.
1969: John with long greasy, stringy hair did not look good at all. Paul looked pretty good with combed back hair and a beard. Ringo also looked pretty good and George was okay.
1970: Downhill…
