Well sorry if this topic had already been done, but I looked really hard and I didn’t see one!
So this is where you say when each Beatle looked the best. In my opinion, it goes like this:
1970, when his hair was really short!
tie between 1965 and 1985
1964
1964

For Paul though, I couldn't decide between the time of Help !, or the Waterfalls music video!
ONE MINUTE YOU'RE DEFENDING THE WHOLE GALAXY, AND SUDDENLY, YOU FIND YOURSELF SUCKING DOWN DARJEELING WITH MARIE ANTOINETTE AND HER LITTLE SISTER.!
Obviously the Beatles changed their “look” and image a lot over the years. Including styles sported after the breakup, which “look” do you think suited which Beatles, and which ones do you dislike?
I personally love John’s 1964 style, with the cap he was wearing when they got off the plane in America- he looked so cheeky and rebellious! Also like his scruffy, stubbly look from footage of the sessions for Imagine . Loathe the whole Jesus thing he had going on in 1969 though.
As for Paul, I think he looked at his best in 1968, clean-shaven (facial hair always looks bad on him IMO) and the messy hairstyle he had at the time just really suited him. Also the clothes he was wearing at the time were pretty cool, the plum-coloured blazer from the Hey Jude video in particular.
George looked pretty cool in the Sgt Peppers’ era, with his moustache, long hair and brightly coloured clothing, that combined with his naturally stern, somewhat mysterious expression and made him look like some sort of psychedelic monk 🙂
Ringo always looked good throughout the Beatles’ years if you ask me, but particularly adorable in the Get Back sessions at Twickenham- with his droopy moustache, long hair, big sweater and doleful expression I just want to give him a hug when everybody else is arguing!

First an intriguing question that’s always puzzled me: How come when Paul grew a full beard, none of the other Beatles did? And vice versa?
Anyways…best:
George: “A Hard Day’s Night ” era – think of Joe’s avatar!
John: Early “Pepper” era, with fairly short hair, sideburns.
Paul: “Let It Be ” era, with full beard
Ringo: White Album era, with longish hair and moustache
worst: Call this blasphemy if you want, but I really never could appreciate those iconic 1963-64 collarless suits. I can’t help it, the idea of matching outfits just always seemed corny and old-fashioned to me, and not in a cool old-fashioned way.
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

I always say the Rubber Soul period, they all looked so confident, assured and uber smart. However will put a shout out for Paul in early ’69, there is a film clip of him walking into Apple Studios and he looks awesome. Not a fan of Johns ’68 appearance – and the naked album cover as well!! Way too much of John on show.
