I regulary listened to Tenacious D.
They are who exactly? And also, I didn't know any of the great music that the Beatles expose you to (Simon and Garfunkel, CSNY, Tom Petty, etc).
Have you heard of Jack Black, the actor (School of Rock, Nacho Libre, Kung Fu Panda, Gulliver's Travels, others)?
Well, he got famous in a two-piece comdey band. They were actually quite good (I'll post a link to my favourite song) but they weren't a serious band, had lots of “songs” that were really comedy sketches, and were very vulgar at times. Anyway, according to WMP, I listened to “Wonderboy” and “Tribute” upwards of 50 times in the three months between me ripping their album from my brother's CD, and my computer breaking.
WITH MIND BULLETS!
Tribute is also (fairly) worth checking out.

Before I discovered the Beatles,
- I used to love auto-tuned pop junk like Ke$ha, Auburn, Katy Perry, B.o.B, BC Jean, and all those people like that. It got really really bad. Thankfully, I turned into a rocker (or perhaps a mocker) and have never looked back. But, I am pretty caught up in the music world, so I am able to talk to my pop/rap/bad music/justin beber loving friends.
- I had tons of time on my hands since being obsessed with something takes up most of your time. I don't mind being obsessed though.
