One of my best friends told me today that there’s a guy she’s been getting to know over the last few months, and she thinks he likes her (this she was very happy about). I then asked why she hadn’t told me (I was a bit hurt at this point), and she said it’s because he’s good looking and mad on The Beatles. She thought I’d ”take” him off her! At this point, I was even more hurt!

I’m listening to an interview with Ken Jeong on the radio, and he compared the working relationship of Zach Galifianakis and “Hangover” director Todd Phillips to The Beatles in that they have an almost telepathic way of communicating with each other.
Not a comparison I ever would have seen coming.

That…is a weird comparison. I dislike when people try to make Beatley connections like that.

I was watching some show yesterday, and the presenter has this thing in which he invites a guest to sing their favourite ”royal song” because Tuesday we’ll have a new king, right? Well yesterday this guy who used to be in some kind of band was there and he said he wasn’t going to sing something for the king, but for his wife and that it would be a very short song by one of the biggest bands ever. I was like ”Wait ..could it be..” and before I knew it he had bursted out in ”Her Majesty ”

Oh here’s another one! This documentary about the best guitarists of Holland was just on and one of the men had a huge Beatles poster and a few VERY big books on his table.
Also, to accompany that documentary they have a concert and opened with While My Guitar Gently Weeps ! I screamed. It wasn’t that good though. The guys pronouncation was quite bad and he forgot some of the lyrics, and the instrumentation was quite different, which is a shame since I LOVE the drums and bass in the original, and the guitars of course. They did a good job on the guitars, but that bass and drums the original has just gives it that extra OOMPH!, you know.

That’s cool!
Today I found a special collector’s edition of Rolling Stone (the magazine)- featuring none other than John Lennon . I also realized that it says “You say you want a Revolution ?” on the cover of the Smithsonian magazine issue that I just got.
Also, I was listening to my Beatles playlist on shuffle, and Mean Mr. Mustard was playing. Then, Her Majesty came on. I knew that the first chord of Her Majesty was the last chord of Mean Mr. Mustard, but I had never heard Her Majesty right after Mean Mr. Mustard before that. It was really cool!

I Googled artificial double tracking and found a Wikipedia article about it. A lot of the article has to do with The Beatles’ use of it!

My spouse, his best friend and myself were driving home from an out of town family visit on Saturday (about a 3 hour or so drive). We left around 2am because we are crazy like that. I had a Beatles/Wings mix cd that I had made for work playing, and right as we passed the first sign that says how many Kilometres until your destination, “Two Of Us ” came on. It was so perfectly fitting, my spouse even pointed it out.

Today in my SPHE class Brigitte Bardot was mentioned (never get plastic surgery kids, unless it’s for medical reasons of course )
Yesterday I was watching Come Dine With Me (a cookery competition) and somebody was making a strawberry meringue for desert so I started singing Strawberry Fields Forever , the next contestant was also making a tart with strawberries and guess which song started playing….but it wasn’t the original it was a very bad cover

Misread that as “SPLHCB .” That really should be a class.

Social, Physical, Health Education to quote curriculumonline.ie
Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE) in junior cycle education supports the personal development, health and well being of young people and helps them create and maintain supportive relationships. The aims of SPHE are to enable students to develop skills for self-fulfilment and living in communities, to promote self-esteem and self-confidence, to enable students to develop a framework for responsible decision-making, to provide opportunities for reflection and discussion and to promote physical, mental and emotional health and well-being.
It’s basically a doss and “let’s talk about sex and mental health” kind of class, loads of fun And I agree Eggy SPLHCB should be a class and that is Brigitte Bardot now, to answer above questions ^^^

A Beatley-moment for me today was somewhat sad. There was this Yellow Submarine , yes an actual yellow submarine which they use for touring the coral reefs underwater. The design is almost similar to the actual Yellow Submarine in the movie of the same name. What happened was it hit a coral reef and damaged it, and now it’s facing charges. That’s about it for today and it came late at night.
It was also sad that only the Japanese people bothered to investigate about the incident, local authorities didn’t even care about it. This is one of those things I hate [pet peeve] living here in the Philippines.

Yesterday , my Beatle-friendly professor came up to me and told me he’d pulled out “Rubber Soul .” I told him I’d borrowed CDs from the library, so I was listening to “Ram ,” and he broke out into big smile. Then I told him I’m also listening to “Love,” and he scrunched up his face and said he can’t bring himself to listen to it because he’s too much of a traditionalist when it comes to The Beatles.

I was in the studio again today recording Lulu and Mei Mei from “Ni Hao, Kai-Lan” as the lady who normally does her has left the station and is only doing live-action now so I’m doing her voice until a replacement can be found, so I was just going over my lines before we began recording and the lad who does Tolee walks in, he looks exactly like George it’s ridiculous! I’d worked with him before ages ago when I had a small part in Aifric (a live-action Irish show) but he had a big part (i.e more then the 4 lines I had ) so naturally I started talking to him obviously (I broke up with my ex 2 months ago) and he’s really nice and funny I shall keep ye updated
On a better Beatley moment I got to sing Michelle in my French class (wayyy )
