This was funny.
I was in a drugstore with my mom, and there is this corner with home decoration stuff and there was a square wooden plate with ”All You Need Is Love ” in white letters on it. I didn’t even have to say anything, my mom just sighed and said ”Don’t say anything. I’ll buy it for you”
Then, like an hour later, we went to visit my grandma who has pneumonia and just as we walked in, guess which song her radio started playing I thought it was a funny coincidence, and even more so because that radio station mostly plays schlager and really bad Dutch music.

That’s AWESOME! And fulfills the original premise of this thread!
I’m watching my beloved Leafs again right now and was reflecting earlier that they seem to win when the Beatles are played in the arena. Well, they’re up 2 goals to nothing, and a few minutes ago “Revolution ” starts to play! And I think “Yes! A Leafs victory!” And I pick up the laptop and log on here to post on this thread…and they score again!! 3-0 Leafs!
…and then they get scored upon as I’m typing this! Boo. 3-1 Leafs…but I still believe they’ll win.
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

I went to a Fab Faux concert last night. They were AWESOME!!! They weren’t nearly as good as The Beatles, of course, but they were still great!
They played While My Guitar Gently Weeps , and at the end, they played the extra verse from Anthology, and I mean the actual recording! I kinda got a little freaked out because I thought it was George’s ghost or something at first… but then I realized what was happening. It was just a recording.
I went to see them back in September (I think), and at the concert, there was a guy standing in the aisle dancing and obviously having the time of his life. He was there again this time. I kept reaching down to “fix my shoe” or something like that, and then subtly turning around to see the dancing guy.
The second half of the show was Abbey Road , and during I Want You (She’s So Heavy), the main guy in the band got off of the stage and went around the audience. Luckily, I was at the end of an aisle, so he went right by me!
The concert was even better than the one in September. Then again, that might just be because I love Abbey Road .

Was at a student function last night, and I arrived early, so I helped out a professor who was cooking for the event. He put on his Beatles playlist just for me *9* and told me about a Saturday Beatle radio show he listens to that he thinks is even better than Breakfast with the Beatles. Needless to say, I’m going to check it out.

Not exactly the best Beatly moment. One of my former coworkers posted this to facebook: “I don’t believe Ive ever seen or heard such a horrible massacre of Beatles songs at one time as I did tonight. Terrible!”
I told them that I would hunt the person down.
Were they talking about American Idol, because it was Beatles day on Wednesday for that show.
I watched that, and the one guy on the show said how The Beatles were “almost perfection,” and I was like “Almost? Hoe, the Beatles are beyond perfection!” Yeah, and my mom agreed with me on that one.
My neighbours upstairs PVR American Idol every week. I haven’t watched it in years, but I am going to watch this episode now because I don’t have my stereo hooked up and can’t listen to music anyways . Bought a new TV and we’re moving stuff around, gotta wait for the “man of the house” to do the electronics that I don’t understand. So may as well use the TV I guess. (I don’t watch a lot of TV.. I’m not like above all that or anything.. just not interested in most of it. )

It was pretty bad, I don’t know why they always think they have to change the songs and “make it their own” on shows like that, because it’s usually terrible when they do. I also fast forwarded through most of it, I don’t understand how the judges had anything favorably to say about any of their performances.

Is it worth watching just to say “Wow… that’s horrible”?
Nope, not even. It’s a complete waste of time. I’ll never get that time back now!

You never know, maybe it saved you years of time. Maybe instead of watching that show, you would have driven to get some sunflower seeds, and on the way there, crashed into a deer and died. You should probably thank yourself for deciding to watch that instead of having a deer come through your car windshield.

When I was at work on friday “I Saw Her Standing There ” came on the radio and it totally made my day. I was already having a pretty fabulous day: I only work 4 hours on friday’s right now instead of 8, which is the best, and I was also doing a really good job at matching a wood stain and being really cocky about how awesome I am at it (as usual ). The song just topped it off, especially since they didn’t play my request (I requested “Crippled Inside ” ).

I came downstairs yesterday and my mom was listening to a CD by a band called The Times. There was a snippet of John on there from Magical Mystery Tour . And then later on there was a girl saying ”when I hold you in my arms, and I feel my finger on your trigger…”.
The BBC are running an advert at the moment and ‘Here Comes The Sun ‘ is on it. Just before the advert came on, I looked out the window and I noticed a bit of sun poking through the grey clouds, and then that came on.
