Listening to my iPod on shuffle during my morning commute, I heard Chicago (when they were know as Chicago Transit Authority) doing “Southern California Purples.” In the song they quote a line from “I Am The Walrus ” (I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together), which I’d forgotten about until that moment.
So while that was still sinking in, the next song that shuffled up? No, “I Am The Walrus ” would have been just a bit too perfect. But it was the Beatles — “Here Comes The Sun .”
It's gotta be rock and roll music if you wanna dance with me

I was watching the news yesterday and they had Paperback Writer in the background during an item on a criminal who now wants to write columns for magazines.
Also, I saw a trailer of some movie of which the name I have forgotten, and they used What Is Life by George in the trailer.

I was in a pub for a drink with some friends today, and first this weird cover of I Want To Hold Your Hand was played. It was an a capella choir-ish version. And then a few songs later Jealous Guy was being played.
Love this pub already.

I read the news today Oh Boy.
My government is honouring Yoko Ono for her efforts and donations to the victims of the recent typhoon. The article even mentioned John Lennon being a Beatle Legend.
Another article from the same newspaper mentioned the Beatles twice, there were young female models that were helping revive the mod thread. They were asked about stuff they like from the 60’s. The Beatles were mentioned twice.

I was at a traffic light and there were these four guys crossing. They slowed down and were walking in a single file. I thought to myself “are they seriously doing what I think they’re doing?” and just then my husband said “This is the highway, not Abbey Road !”. I’m glad I wasn’t the only one thinking this. lol

I’ve seen countless of people doing this on every road possible, even if it’s not a zebra road. I always tell the third guy to remove the shoes lol.

I’ve seen like one or two people (at a time) do it, but never four. I try to at my school’s cross walk sometimes, but then I always end up speeding up cause the driver is impatient or I don’t want to look weird.
That quote from Paul cracks me up.

I was at the drive thru ATM at my bank when a truck pulled up behind me playing “I’m Only Sleeping ” loudly. I got excited and started mouthing the words as I pressed the buttons on the machine. Its not that often I hear songs like that played in public.

The first entry of todays BBC Live Football Text
Back in 1962, Ringo Starr was busy joining the Beatles, Marilyn Monroe was found dead in her bed and the Cuban Missile Crisis was in full swing. But they weren’t the only noteworthy events that year. Oh no. Because while those stories were dominating the worlds of showbiz and politics, Rochdale were making waves in English football by becoming the first fourth-tier team to reach the League Cup final. The next team to achieve that feat? Bradford City, 51 years later.
A comforting sight to behold. Strange that i can identify when and where that photo is from.
(Just noticed that 901 people gave that vid the thumbs down – What!!!!!!!!!!???????? Probably not enough autotune, fake instruments, embarrassing lyrics, squeaky singing, and not having 20 repeats of the chorus to make it last 4 minutes.)

I finally found my mom’s long lost Beatles book!
There’s this old nightstand from my mom’s, which was supposed to stand in my room for a few months, just til she would have sorted it out, but now it has been standing in my room for about 9 years. Anyway, I obviously looked into it a few times when it just stood here, even though she forbade me to look into it. A few months after it had been in my room, some of the other drawers broke (one had already been broken) so I never really touched it again.
Today she wanted to sort out some of her jewellery, which was in there. We just got out all drawers and then there was something on the bottom inside of the nightstand. It was the book! So for 9 years this Beatles book had been lying around in my room and I didn’t even know it! It’s quite old (1975) and it’s falling apart, but I’m happy. Unfortunately there are sooo much mistakes in it.

We were out of town visiting family this weekend. When I was at my mom and aunt’s place, my aunt found a huge pile of old burned cd’s, all about 10 to 12 years old. So on the way home we went though them in the car. Now it’s embarrassing but I admit that I went though a phase for a bit in my late teens, where I listened to a lot of rap. I had a little sports car with a loud strero, I went to the club a lot… it was just my lifestyle at the time. I’ve always been mainly a rock fan, and back then it was mostly 90’s stuff, and a little bit of 60’s and 70’s, but not a lot. In my mid to late twenties (I’ll be 30 in 8 months.. ) I got much more into 60’s and 70’s rock. But certain bands, like the Beatles, I liked back then, just not as much as now. Anyways, so I am going through these mostly terrible CD’s, and one had “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away ” on it. That was a nice surprise. I was relieved that I had a least one Beatles tune. Then I found another one that had “If I Fell ” on it, but also I had written only the words “If I Fell ” on the cd (they were all blank on the front). I seem to remember that I had written that because I liked the song a lot, and probably because it was mostly filler and I just made the CD for that song. Right on, 18 year old me.
"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been.. I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene.. Banjos! Banjos! All the time, I can't forget that tune.. and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

My math teacher choreographs Color Guard routines. Today in class she showed us a video of the Color Guard’s latest performance. The song that they performed to? Earth, Wind and Fire’s cover of Got To Get You Into My Life .
Also known as Egg-Rock, Egg-Roll, E-George, Eggy, Ravioli, Eggroll Eggrolli...

Nice, I don’t see a lot of Leafs fans around here. My Grandma was a big fan.

Meet the Beatowls!So cute!
I know the second one is John… but which of the other ones is which?
I think it’s George, John, Ringo, Paul, like on the cover of…err..one of their albums (was it Beatles For Sale ?) It even has George’s hair looking like an onion, like on the cover!
Was watching the same news as the last time I posted about the news, and this time they played Drive My Car during an item on a guy who reached the million on his odometer with his car today. I think the guy who sorts out the music for that news program might be a Beatles fan.
