Pub Quiz Machine Question for a cash prize
Quick Beatles song was sung by Lead Guitarist George Harrison ?
Another one. this time not for cash buit progress, was which Beatles song has the lyrics “…would you stand up and walk out on me?
Forget the other 2 options but they were all off Pepper.
And for some reason last week my ipod went into voice command mode and started playing the Let It Be album. I was the only one about and at no point initiated it or said ‘Let It Be ‘.

To LongHairedLady, Sky090909 and other Hendrix fans, here’s a picture I took of Jimi Hendrix in May ’68 at Madison Square Garden.(I was just a young teenager; in those days you could walk up to the stage and take a picture. It was a rotating stage, so I got pictures from all angles.)

As for pot, I’m against legalizing it (except for medical stuff):
– Considering how people are against additives in foods, etc…, why would anyone want to add another toxin to their body?
– Having done some research on this many years ago, I don’t think most people who smoke know what they’re getting into. It can depress the immune system. It is stored in our fat cells and sticks around a long time: the half life is 2 weeks. So 2 weeks after taking a toke, half the stuff is still in your body. And it sits there free to interact in totally unknown fashion with every other thing you put in your body including medications.
I’m glad the Beatles experimented with stuff because it led to great music.
But just look at the Beatles to see what happens you experiment with drugs: each Beatle illustrates the different paths that can lead you down.
That’s a great picture, thanks for sharing!
As for the legalization thing, I always go back to the same argument that if alcohol is legal, then why shouldn’t pot be? People are going to do it anyways, so why not stop clogging up the legal system with it? The government would also make tons of money legally selling it to people! I can’t stand feeling like a criminal when I am picking up a bag, while somebody can go to a liquor store and buy some whisky no problem. All I am going to do is go home, have a puff, and stay safely in my own home. What is the harm in that? I think it’s ridiculous. It should be treated the same as far as driving goes (I never drive, that would be so hypocritical). It’s not a gateway drug, either. People that turn to harsher drugs would have went down that path anyways because they have a self-distructive personality. I have smoked it daily for over 10 years. I have maybe a glass of wine once or twice a year. Like I said, I stay at home, not harming anybody. I have never had the urge to try a different high and move up to cocaine or heroine. I had a few experimental things in my early twenties, like most people, but that’s it.
I think Paul said it best:
Effing love you Paul.

My sister was watching SpongeBob. One episode was called Krabby Road, which is an obvious reference. Another episode, which may or may not be a reference, was called A Life in the Day. If it weren’t meant to be a reference, wouldn’t they have called it A Life in a Day?

I love Sponge Bob, that’s awesome. The Simpsons have done a lot of tributes to The Beatles over the years, many of which I didn’t catch the first time around! Love it.

So, tonight I was reading fb before I went to bed and now I cant go to bed after this news. Anyways, on PaulMcCartney.com they have where you can write Paul questions. So, I was like maybe I can ask him to come back to New Orleans, but nah I’m to tired to write right now. A few minutes later I read this from my local news station: http://www.wlox.com/story/2096…..bowl-guest. Before I clicked on the link it said “(Hint: He earned his “Wings” a long time ago!)”. Anyways, Stennis is only like an hour from me. Now Im all jumpy.
UPDATE: Here is Paul on a New Orleans street car. Got it from a local radio stations fb.
Darn maybe I should’ve gone down to New Orleans this weekend.

OMG at the picture.
As for the weed I’m not a daily toker cause of my job. I like smoking, but I’m not addicted to. In the alcoholic world they call it social drinking and thats what I am to weed. The last time I smoked was around June of last year and the time before that was about two years or so. Thats the hardest drug I have tried and probably will ever try. I don’t smoke cigarets and don’t drink. To quote Paul from the Anthology “Just what I need is some funny little thing where I never get back home again”, I feel like that about other drugs, even I know he took more. Point is, I don’t want take some drug where I feel like I may not be able to get back. Like Longhairedlady, I hate feeling like a criminal when someone can buy booze and destroy themselves or kill someone on the road. You know what I do when I’m high? I laugh with friends, bake a large cookie or eat other things, listen to Beatles or Bob Marley, and that it.

Two Beatley moments today.
Numero Uno:
Someone in my one of my classes asked the teacher if we could ever use Siri as a reference while taking tests, in 50 years or so.
Teacher: Well, I hope not, because you wouldn’t be thinking for yourself.
Me: Think For Yourself ’cause I won’t be there with you!
Numero Dos:
I saw a sign in the library that said “COME TOGETHER at your local library.” (And yes, “COME TOGETHER” was in capital letters on the sign.)
Even if it’s not a reference, I’d like to think it is.

During a lecture, my Classical History teacher made an awesome Beatles reference.
He was talking about a Greek wise man who judged a narcissistic Lydian king who believed he was, in fact, the happiest man in the world.
However, the wise man gave examples of what true happiness is and proved the king wrong.
So my history teacher says:
“Well, we all know he couldn’t have been the happiest person because they didn’t have guns back then. After all, Happiness is a Warm Gun!”
I think one other person other than me got the reference.

I was listening to Get Back , and when it ended I was confused because I’ve been listening to LOVE a lot lately, and the LOVE version of Get Back is longer than the real version. So, I said, “Hey, it doesn’t end there- oh, wait, yes it does. Ugh, LOVE messes up the way I hear Beatles songs.” And then my parents looked at me funny and my sister whispered to my mom, “I think she has a crush.” (No, I don’t have a boyfriend, thanks for asking.) I had to explain I was talking about LOVE, not love.

Yesterday ‘s Beatley moments
This was in my fb news feed: Why Yoko Ono Is The Only Thing Standing Between New York And Catastrophic Gas Fracking
Powerpuff Girls episode Meet The Beat All came on
It was pouring rain yesterday morning, but it had cleared by 8. I said to my husband “well at least the sun is shining” and he replied “Good Day Sunshine , Good Day Sunshine “. I raised my eyebrow and was like “really, why did you just do that?”. Then later when I wanted to watch The Beatles on Ed Sullivan, he said wasn’t in a Beatles mood.

Yea the Love messes me up to except its the opposite to me. I listen to the originals a lot, so sometimes when I listen to The Beatles on shuffle, there are Love versions in there, it throws me off with the extra parts or longer ending.

In seventh grade, me and my friend had to do a project where we made up a civilization, and she brought the book to school last week because I wanted to see it. The first king and queen of the civilization were named Paul and Linda, and when they died it was passed onto Stella.
I was watching the news today, and they played Get Back when they were going into a commercial.
I went to Outback a couple weeks ago and they played See Your Sunshine, and Dance Tonight, both off Memory Almost Full while I was there.

Just cardboard with the words Instant Karma .

The Beatles always seem to know what’s going on…
Last night my spouse and I were having a disagreement and when we stopped talking and it was that awkward silence, the playlist that had been going for hours started playing “When I’m 64” and then “All You Need Is Love “.
Another time that happened in the car. It was Christmas time and it was the usual Christmas stress and such, and we were having an little argument in the car. We stopped talking and “All You Need Is Love ” came on. Crisis averted. Thanks to The Beatles, for always somehow knowing when to remind us of what’s important.
