Were you next to room 9-09?
Congrats on the interview! Those are hard to get.
Nope…next to room 1007. But that was a good guess! 10/09/40…John's birthday!
The interviews were a lot more relaxed than I expected, so it wasn't so bad. I'm glad it's over, though!

Was trying to work out 1009, in the UK 10/09/40 reads the tenth of September 1940, we go day, month, year. I have no idea why its different. Would have been cool if it was 9091 (sorry).
Good luck Kedame, i hope you get accepted. What is it you want to do in the future as medicine is a very wide all-conquering far-reaching thing (i couldnt think of the right word).

Kedame, you're going to medical school? What sort of doctor do you want to be? I've been thinking about that myself, but I'm only in high school so there's a while left to decide. If my application goes through, I might get to intern at Georgetown University Hospital this summer. I seem to be waiting for a lot of applications right now.
Good luck with your interview and your apps. (Heh. Apps. Apple.)

"What happens to them?" insisted Milo.
"Oddly enough, they often grow ten times the size of everyone else," said Alec thoughtfully, "and I’ve heard that they walk among the stars."

I thought “the one after 9-09” would be 10-09!

My friend had a moment the other day. Her mom asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she said “Kisses On The Bottom by Paul McCartney “. Then her mother gave her “the most priceless face ever” because she thought she said “Kisses On The Bottom FROM Paul McCartney “

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY! and sad. But mostly happy! I was given the choice of either going to The Fest For Beatles Fans (which I've been waiting forever for) or to see Ringo!!!!!!!! Of course I chose Ringo. I can't wait! I had to dance when I heard the news, but as soon as I began my dance-of-joy I hurt my foot. Go figure. Oh well, my mom said if she's not busy I can still go to the fest (though she can't drive, which is a bit of a problem…)! BUT I'M SOOOO HAPPY! My heart is pounding right now.
And also, there's a film awards thing, and they're showing A Hard Days Night and Yellow Submarine in theaters! I'm so thrilled, because it'll be sooooo cool to see them on a big screen, and also nobody really watches or does anything anything Beatley with me, and hopefully the theater will be packed. I just say to my parents “Did you know…” and they say “Stop! Not The Beatles again!”. It's a bit frustrating. Also, I was talking to my friend but it was loud in the room and she couldn't hear me so she yelled “Are you talking about The Beatles?”. Hope I meet a fan there who'd share my love with me!
I am very happy, and one reason is because I have The Beatles. Thank you!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

I came very close to getting into a car accident when my passenger (a hot Asian chick who I was driving to work) had the temerity to diss the Beatles. I was playing the Beatles on my tape deck (1994 here)…I Am The Walrus was on, and she said, “Can you change the music? I don't like the Beatles”. Well, I never. Despite my crush on said girl, I almost told her to “get the f**k out of my car!!!” (I would not have cared if she had said this about any other band….we are talking about the Beatles here). Instead, I started driving like a maniac…and came very close to a collision. When we got out of the car, the hot Asian chick said “I got the feeling that you are mad at me”. Even though I wanted to f**k her badly, I said: “you can say almost anything, but you cannot put down the Beatles. They are Gods!” She looked at me like I was a freak….but then, I am a Beatles Freak.

Surely the best thing to have done would have been remain calm and slowly introduce her to how good the beatles are. Plus when you do post can you please remember that young kids come here and, whilst swearing isnt forbidden, watch what you say. I dont mean to be dictorial and its good to have you here but its a family friendly site.

As much as I despise the use of The Fab Four by writers looking for an easy out, it fits. Federer’s John (leader at first, starting to lose his shine), Nadal’s Paul (starts to overtake John), Murray’s Ringo (Last entry to the elite 4) and that leaves George for Djokovic (Late bloomer, but when he does bloom, he does it great).

Overall, yesterday (Valentine’s Day) was rather Beatley.
Every weekday morning while getting ready for work, I listen to a sports talk show on ESPN Radio called Mike and Mike in the Morning. Since it was Valentine’s Day they were playing songs with “Love” in the title for their bumper music. During one rejoin, they played “All You Need Is Love “.
On my way to work, one of the local radio stations played songs with “love”, sweet”, “dear”, etc… in the titles. I heard “My Sweet Lord “.
On the way home, another radio station was playing 2 songs back-to-back as a lot of stations do on Two-fer Tuesday. When the DJ said two were coming up from The Beatles I was expecting something mainstream as usual. Imagine my delight when they played “Love You To ” and “Dear Prudence “.
Love and the Fabs were definitely in the air…
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I refused to leave until the song finished.

A few days ago, here in Greece, when the austerity measures were passed by the coaliation governmen, a greek polititian, Georgios Karatzaferis, said to the jurnalists “It’s been A Hard Day’s Night “. That’s all. But it’s quiet weird…

Oh please don’t make me started on politicians with Beatles. There’s a guy from left in Mexico, that is using the “Peace and Love” and the Republica Amorosa. Every time there’s a story about him in the news, you can listen in the backgroud “All You Need Is Love “. And every time, I show my middle finger to the TV for their blatant hypocrisy.

Oh Mith, at least no conservative Mexican politician has ever used a tongue and cheek mockery of the right at his rallies, without realising it was a tongue and cheek mockery by a leftie. Ronald Reagan holds the stupidest musical use error.
Moment of the day: Listening to my IPod in class, I had “It’s The Same Old Song” on. Now, as my iPod took me off the Pepperland , a classmate was groaning “What a day in my life?” Guess what the iPod had in store? A Day In The Life

I. AM. THE. LUCKIEST. PERSON. EVER.
So I have Paul’s autograph, as I mentioned earlier in this thread. And now… I HAVE RINGO’S!!!!
I was recently in LA, and me and my family went to dinner with my mom’s friend’s boyfriend, who has Ringo’s autograph (had 2). So my parents were talking about me, “she’s a maniac, blah blah, Beatles from morning until night, blah blah, so much we dream about them, blagablaga…” they showed him pictures of my room (he was like “Oh…my…god…. O_O) …. so he said I’d appreciate the autograph more and gave it to me! Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!! That was so nice of him. I can never repay him. I can’t believe I have 2 autographs. I get super excited when I’m standing in a spot they might have stood on, so this, obviously… oh wow.
Also, I went to the Hollywood walk of fame and danced around their stars, traced their names with my fingers. I touched every inch of the handles of Capitol Records and a guy goggled at me as I pretended to lick them. Also, I went to the Grammy’s museum for the George tribute! Saw a bunch of guitars and outfits!!!! My heart was pounding with excitement. They had his outfit from the mad day out, Magical Mystery Tour , Shea, Help !… I still can’t believe they were real. I bought 2 pins, 2 bookmaks, 2 posters (only room I have left now is the ceiling), and a book. Got the RS mag with Paul on it, and my mom’s friend gave me an original pressing of Revolver !
This was a great week. A Beatles week. Those are the best.
