There's a Google bar in my Firefox, and when I type Paul, it suggests McCartney right away.
Google be knowing!
So first day of classes started Monday () and I went to one of my classes. It's a music class (I really hope this class is good because I spent like $200 on course fees and books already… college problems). Anyway, I wasn't completely listening to my professor but he was talking about how we will expand our music tastes. And he said something about pop music (in the general sense of it being popular music rather than the sound) and he says that there are only a few artists in pop music who can stand the test of time. He said the Beatles. I instantly perked up and started listening. I then remembered I was wearing my Beatles t-shirt.
In actuality, I'm not too happy I'm taking this class. I really wanted to take this music class called “History of Pop Music” or something along those lines because I knew for an absolute fact the Beatles would come up in class discussions. But alas, the class was closed by the time I could get in

Awww! But at least your music class has the Beatles. I've gone through all my textbooks just to look for something relating to the Beatles. Alas, they were in my Music book, but up to now, my music teacher has just been showing us musicals. Maybe I should take a degree in the Beatles.
Oops, am I derailing this? Sorry.

I completely fail to see why you would apologise for derailing. It’ll happen anyways. But by the same token, I’ll get us back. On Sunday, when I was at this record shop, the guy behind the counter, who I’ve seen before there, said “You trying to get all the Beatles albums? And all the solo stuff as well?” “Yep. For as cheap as possible.” So, not only did that conversation save me $10, it also happened right before I left. The first song I heard in the car? While My Guitar Gently Weeps .

Actually I went flipping through my textbook and there is a rock section. They talk about Sgt. Pepper 's and Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds . I start flipping out really hoping we would go over it in our lectures. Nope. Not on the syllabus *le sigh*
No need to apologize for derailing. It happens all the time.

nice. I miss record shops
Today I discovered that my ski coach's friend went to high school with a girl that just married Macca's nephew. And of course she got to meet him. Not that this information is particularly significant, but I'm just extremely jealous. If I met him, life goals = complete.
well, one of them.

Three to mention:
1) In Waterstone's today, I put away a book called “Kate the Royal Wedding Fairy” (belch). It was in a series with a load of other books, such as “Melody the Monday Fairy”, “Rea the Rabbit Fairy”, and “Lucy the Diamond Fairy”.
2) Later, I was browsing the music section, and noticed that whilst Mick Jagger was under J, Flea was under F, Dave Grohl was under G, Joe Strummer and Slash were under S… John Lennon was under B. For Beatles. Okay, that wasn't especially Beatley, but I wanted to share that.
3) My cousin just posted on Facebook that he has more of a tan from a week in the English rain than from two weeks in the California sun.
I told her I didn’t

A Beatles Cirque du Soleil Love ticket flashed on screen amongst others, but far more pronounced, during an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. There are a number of Beatles references there. Another i remember was during a murder they noticed that some records were missing between Beach Boys and Billy Joel, the answer being The Beatles (by the way who categorises by first name?). Turns out that they were stolen due to their value.
There is a record shop in Glasgow that occasionally has solo beatles records in with the beatles group albums whilst also having other solo records by the same solo beatle in their own alphabetised section at the same time. Im not talking the odd 1, there are 4 or 5.

My professor for my music class today was explaining orchestra instruments. When he was going over the string section, he provided a few examples of string arrangements. One of the examples was “Eleanor Rigby “. I was internally bouncing in my seat and singing along. I gained a new appreciation for this song now. It was never a favorite of mine, but now I'm reconsidering it's significance in music.

Paul sighting at the gym a few days ago.
I saw him as he was leaving so didn't get to see how much he can Press.
Had I known, I might have said something like, “Boy, did you Carry That Weight ?”
(Maybe it's a good thing I didn't have time to plan.)

My professor, when talking about the beats in music, gave an example of a quadruple count in pop music. He said, “You know the Beatles. One, two, three, FAWR”. Just like that. A couple kids including myself snickered at his Paul impression. Made my day.

Fans of the show “Psych” (I'm a huge fan) will love this one. I saw it over the weekend while watching reruns…
Shawn: What if someone asks you if you did it?
Gus: I'll just plead the Fifth.
Shawn: Element? Dimension? Beatle?
Gus: You can't plead Billy Preston, Shawn.
