Anyway, Beatley moment: There's an episode of Family Guy where Brian publishes a book that becomes a hit and the fame goes to his head. There's a quote that's something like, “At first I was mad when John Lennon said the whole 'Beatles bigger than Jesus' thing, but NOW, it's like, I get it.”
I am aware of an episode of Family Guy where the dog or the baby calls something “worse than Ringo's songs”. There's a manatee gag where “Ringo” informs the others that he's written a song. Paul says that it is great and sticks the song up on the fridge.
Generally speaking, the Beatles references in the Simpsons are better. They had a whole episode parodying the Beatles. Highlights include the experimental piece produced by Barney when he meets a Japanese woman:
… a rooftop concert shut down by the police, and George. Twice.
George: Hello, Homer, I'm George Harrison .
Homer: Oh my God ! Where did you get that brownie?
I told her I didn’t

Two Beatley iPod Moments from yesterday…
I was listening to shuffle mode when That’ll Be The Day came on. I got to thinking how it was the very first known recording of John (and the Quarrymen). The very next song was (Just Like) Starting Over; the very first song on the last album released before he died. Eerie.
A few songs later, Never Without You, Ringo’s tribute to George played. The very next song was All Things Must Pass . Shivers ran up and down my spine.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

You don't read scientology…. or do you? Remember Edgar Winter is now in Ringo's all-star group, and he reads scientology.

I truly don't understand where that came from. But Zig, that is certainly eerie.

I had two Beatley Moments Today
1. I was 'chillin'' at home, bored with all the channels, so I suddenly pressed the main menu button, and put on the radio, and after looking at the whole screen randomly, and so (Beatly Moment) I found another radio (http://www.shoutcast.com/
AWESOME, RIGHT?????
Beatley Moment:
2. When I was ''surfing'' at the Shout-cast, my mom came home after 'loaning away' our dog for our vacation, and they that was (or is) going to 'dog-sit' our dog, gave me a Cavern t-shirt, for they'd been in Liverpool (or something else(what ever it is, I don't care)). Anywayyyyyyyyyyyy, when I opened the pack, something fell out, so I was so curious what it was, so I checked it out, and I found out it was a copy (I think) of a membership card from 1963, and (for the first time) I SCREAMED (like a Beatles-girl at concert) for the AWESOME THING.
PS. I noticed at the t-shirt the photo of The Beatles was the ''WTB'' photo, and I suddenly thought, wasn't that a bit irronic for it was (I think) taken after they stopped playing at the Cavern. Just telling ya…..
Have a nice day, y'all.
Cheers

I was just watching Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (which is a hilarious film, in my opinion) and I was reminded of this fantastic little scene… Now, I know some of you might be completely disgusted and at this, but I reckon it’s a pretty funny caricature of the lads. Tell me what you think! Also, make sure you watch all the way through to the Yellow Submarine -esque trip, and watch out for the coarse language.
Will Paul be back as Superman?

Innocent. The funny part was when Corey (the son) and Rick (his dad) went through the songs, Corey called them the first boy band. It then cut to Rick, saying “Beatlemania is alive and well, and Corey’s an idiot. One day he’ll hear Hey Jude and say this is F***ing awesome.”

So while I camped out in the hot New York sun to try to catch the Harry Potter actors at the premier yesterday, I saw two girls with Beatle tattoos. One girl had “Tomorrow may rain so I’ll Follow The Sun ” on her shoulder and another girl had “Tomorrow Never Knows ” on her back. Another girl had the same John Lennon tank top as the one I had. And this one guy had a New York City shirt like the one John wore when he first came here which is also the one that John is wearing on the tank top that I and the girl had.
Good day for Beatles fans. Not so much for Harry Potter fans.
Edit: That is my favorite scene AdmiralHalsey from Dewey Cox. I love that movie.

This reminds me. I have a black newsboy cap like John’s and when I visit/move to New York — whichever comes first — I’m going to wear it when I visit the Statue of Liberty and have somebody take a photo of me in the same pose and spot as John when he did the peace sign shot. Eeee!
