Yesterday , when I was watching the food channel they were at this hotdog stand that was called Yellow Submarine or something and then it went to commercial and it was playing Good Day Sunshine ! Then I was watching Bitchin' Kitchen(really great show, by the way) and the lady said something about it being stupid to compare U2 to the Beatles!
After I took it, it opened my eyes. We only use one-tenth of our brain. Just think what we could all accomplish if we could only tap that hidden part. It would mean a whole new world. If the politicians would take LSD, there wouldn't be any more War or poverty or famine.

Offline I was watching 60 minutes with my dad, and they were talking about memory, and people with gifts in memory, and they asked one woman “What day was John Lennon killed?” and she said “Ooh, December eighth, 1980. It was a Monday.” off of the top of her head.
*9* Irony…
I salute the lady who screamed "I love you Paul!" at a tribute band's concert.

Offline My dad was watching Pawn Stars on the History Channel and he said, “Look, they're selling an autographed Beatles photo signed by all four of them.” I jumped out my seat and fell to the ground. Then he said, “Oh my bad it's The Who, not The Beatles.” and also my social studies teacher was once playing the song “Another Girl “and “Twist And Shout ” in class… I was the only one singing along….my friends thought I was crazy

Offline I had a couple, but I can only remember 1. Basically, I was reading a hockey article on the draft, and one of the articles on the same page was entitled (or partly entitled) The Long And Winding Road .

Offline This morning, in the Simpsons they were playing Another Day by Paul McCartney , and then in Evan Almighty they play Revolution !

Offline My Beatley moment was when I was so excited today, this radio station played I Should Have Known Better ! In Connecticut, you NEVER EVER hear a Beatles song on the radio, unless it's Acoustic Sunday and they feel like playing Norwegian Wood (which has only happened 2 times) or it is a Zeppelin/Floyd/Stones/Beatles weekend (which has only happened twice in the past 5 years). I like to think that the song was dedicated to me, seeing our lack of radio time for the Beatles in the Nutmeg State.

Today at a thing downtown (a car cruise-in to be exact) Twist And Shout played over the speakers. And I mentioned to my friend that my throat felt like John's voice sounded. (Still hurts too.)

Sadly, the radio show De Lunes a Beatles from my local city is over. Fortunately they moved to a weekly TV Show yay!

Offline I found out today that a Mr George Martin wrote the book that Game of Thrones is based on.
I also saw a Russian girl with a T-Shirt with the Please Please Me album cover on the front.

Offline Derailing a bit, but I have a friend who does a bit of acting who was in Game of Thrones, but he got killed in the first episode, aha. 🙂
Anyway, Beatley moment: There’s an episode of Family Guy where Brian publishes a book that becomes a hit and the fame goes to his head. There’s a quote that’s something like, “At first I was mad when John Lennon said the whole ‘Beatles bigger than Jesus’ thing, but NOW, it’s like, I get it.”
And I’m now referred to as “Beatles girl” by a friend of a friend who I’ve met twice, because I was wearing a Beatles/John Lennon top both times. I think I can live with that nickname tbh.
