Today I met the high school marching director, Mr. Cox. I walk in his office, mainly to see Mr. Hart.
I see a Beatles poster and Mr. Cox is also singing Sgt Pepper ‘s. I just say “I think we’re going to get along.”
and then we formally met each other of course….

Offline ‘Listen To What The Man Said’ was playing earlier where I am. Currently it’s ‘Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth’) which is cool as if a George song is playing in public it’s generally either ‘My Sweet Lord ’ or ‘Got My Mind Set On You’.
More George. ‘Blow Away’ is now playing. Silly how happy it makes me hearing Beatles and co songs.

Offline Last night me and my mom were playing the trivia thing they have on netflix now.
on one of my turns i got a question that was “What day was the beatles’ last concert?” and i got that right SO QUICKLY lol
and then my mom got a question that was “What is the plot of Yoko Ono’s film ‘Cut Piece’ ?” and she didnt get it right and i immediately knew the answer
whoever made trivia verse was a beatles fan confirmed

At work(a restaurant), they’ve played a few Beatley tunes. A few weeks ago, they played How Do You Sleep? which is a bizarre choice for a restaurant. They play Real Love fairly often, and one time I said something about one of my coworkers, named George, and then I Me Mine started playing.

Offline I had a Beatley moment! About once a week I check out a thrift store or two for first edition books, rare records and antique toys. Today when I pulled up, there was a lady out front unloading some boxes from her car. I noticed something familiar in one of the boxes and stopped to chat. Seems her dad had passed and she was dropping off some of his stuff at Goodwill. She let me pick a few albums from his collection…
He took good care of his vinyl, especially his copy of Physical Graffiti. It appears he only listened to Side 2 (Kashmir-all will be revealed). The other 3 sides look shiny and new.
Wow @Rube, what a journey! Will you be posting some pics? Any idea how far you travelled?

In all seriousness I’m sure it meant a lot for that woman to know her father’s music collection will be loved by a fan and not picked up by someone trying to flip them for a profit. Either way that’s really lucky I’m happy for you.

I opened the book to a random page, and got this!!!

Offline Beatles Abbey Road crossing reference in the episode they’re discussing. They also talk about the Paul is dead theory. They mentioned the kids probably wouldn’t have picked up the Abbey Road reference. I recall I made the connection back then (I was 11) and that was before I was even a big Beatles fan. I just thought it was common knowledge. Maybe not.

Offline I looked at a property with my brother today. The entire house was completely empty with all decorations stripped away, except for this wall of a back bedroom.
