Double post. Sorry.
U2’s Boy “A Day without me” lyrics caught my attention and I checked the song’s info in wikipedia. It seems the song is about Ian Curtis from Joy Division who killed himself.
I decided to check a live video and my socks literally rolled down when I heard this. Jump @1.50.

I don't think I have ever EVER heard that before, Mith! Thank you!
Man, I know they are still around, but I have to say they *were* such a good band back in the day. And damn fine looking, too. 😀

My Beatley moment was today when me and my friend were presenting a project called Math Art. Math Art is where you could do a song, poem, or poster about a math concept we learned from the school year and is “fun” according to my teacher. Anyways, we did our math song to Help !, and being the Beatles freaks we are, made the lyrics math-y without sounding bad. So, we sang our song and after we were done, my teacher is like “Oh my gosh!! That was beautiful!! I didn't know you guys liked the Beatles!! I LOVE them!! One-hundreds for both of you!! I think I'll pull you out of class one day so you can perform this for the other classes!! (Turns to face class) Jeez, that's gonna be a hard act to follow!!” And after that, some kids came up to me and said “Jill, what's your favorite Beatles song? I want to look them up on YouTube tonight.” I smiled because (1) I like my math teacher a little more now that I know she likes the Beatles and (2) I made some people become interested in the Beatles

Okay, I’m watching Vancouver Boston (NHL Finals. Go Vancouver!!!!!) and they played Rovolution (the single version). I was so excited!!!!!! Wait , something just happened. Once this is settled, I’m off to sleep. Oh wait, Vancouver has a power play. They’ll probably score with 9 seconds left.

This is awesome! I love to find out people like the Beatles. I gave a 9 and 12 year old five songs apiece that I thought they would like, and they loved them. I also got a boy I knew from elementary/jr. high school to check them out on iTunes, and he loved them, too. Though I am a little disappointed that he said he was just going to stick to the one song I told him to look up. He said there were too many albums/songs to get them all.

My Beatlesy moment would be called that last night I went to bed with my earphones in and my iPod on shuffle, and I woke up at like twelve or something and Hey Jude was playing. Then I woke up again at like two I think and Hey Jude was playing again! So I checked it to see if I had it on repeat only I didn’t and so that means that my subconscious probably woke me up so I could listen to it because it’s like my favorite!

My moment today came when I was sitting in the hairdresser's, waiting rather nervously to get my hair in a brand new style. I'm flipping through one of the available gossip magazines, when I find- voila!- an article on Paul McCartney (it was actually about Linda's photography, and there were enough Beatles photos to make me less nervous). But the moment doesn't end there- I was reading the article a second time when all of a sudden a cover version of “Girl” starts playing. I was happy after that.

What's very strange about all that is my friend, who is also a total Beatle nut, also did a Math song (on the quadratic formula) to the tune of “Help !”… I guess that's just the song that comes to mind when one (crazy Beatle nut) thinks of doing long and complicated equations!

This is more of a John-y moment, but we were at the DI and “Watching The Wheels ” came on the radio.

Where is my apple? Let's see, I heard Another Day on CBC Radio 2 this morning. Also, my (cheeky bitch of a) friend whispered “yes, like the Beatles,” when we were talking about receiving help. and then I chimed back, “Yes, help with getting high.” We almost got booted from class.

Drove to Wales on Friday to see my Grandparents, drove back today.
On the way there, the radio played John's cover of “Stand By Me ” and the Beatles' cover of “Twist And Shout “.
On Saturday night, we watched a new television program which had Frank Skinner on it. He admitted that he'd once interviewed Ringo, and Ringo said “I'd prefer it if we didn't talk about the Beatles”. They did a 20 minute interview on Thomas The Tank Engine.
Today, on the drive back, the featured album on the radio programme we were listening to was McCartney. We heard The Lovely Linda , Maybe I'm Amazed, Man We Was Lonely, That Would Be Something and Hot as Sun/Glasses. On the same show, they played What Is Life . The first track on the next show was All Those Years Ago. After the first line, my mum said “oh, it's Paul McCartney again.” I'm not so sure she is my mother
