I bought an Alexa and just asked it to put oldies on and it gave me ‘Sgt Pepper ‘, the 2017 mix, straight up.

Ohhh Boy and I were doing yard work yesterday evening, and I heard a song. I thought it was just the music playing in my head, but then OB said, “Do you hear that?” Michelle wasn’t in my head. I was blasting from a garage across the street.

you know you’re a hardcore Beatles fan when you hear a song in real life and just assume its playing in your head.

It was! Such and unusual song to be playing! That’s why I was convinced it was just in my head.

I was watching Have A Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics on Netflix (it’s a new documentary thing that I’ve been anticipating where some experts and celebrities discuss the benefits of psychedelics as well as their personal stories, and subsequent advice, about tripping– it’s very interesting stuff), and they showed a clip of Harrison telling about his first experience with LSD on The Dick Cavett Show and I was happy that they included the Beatles in some way because I mean, how could you not? (*aggressively gestures to Riding So High: The Beatles and Drugs*)
Donovan was a guest celebrity too, which was cool, and Bill Kreutzmann from the Dead (they had a short segment on Grateful Dead concerts and how they were the best place to trip because not only was the experience cool but also the concerts were specifically made safe for people who chose to trip on psychedelics). Carrie Fischer was also a guest, which means the documentary must have been a bunch of years in the making (RIP Carrie ).

I get Spotify free through work. The Discover Weekly playlist that Spotify puts together based on what you are listening to is particularly Beatley this week. I don’t know why, because I didn’t use Spotify to listen to anything Beatles in the past week. The playlist included
Magneto and Titanium Man – Paul McCartney and Wings
Rain – The Beatles

The first time I listened to All Things Must Pass was a few years ago when I used Spotify more and my Discover Weekly playlist had “I Live For You” in it, which encouraged me to listen to ATMP because of how much I loved it at that time. This was also in my pre-Beatlemania days, so you could say I was into George’s solo stuff before I was even into the Beatles

I was watching a socially-distanced livestream jam from one of my favourite bands, and they had a setlist written on a big piece of paper on the floor. In between two of the songs, I noticed that there was some kind of word or something, but I couldn’t read it due to the video quality. Later in the stream, they pointed out that it was an acronym, reading: “IWYSSH “. After explaining that it was a secret song, they started playing it: I Want You (She’s So Heavy)! It was incredible; they did a fantastic job.

Me and my mom were in the beginning of a long car ride and she suggested we listen to the interview Paul McCartney just did with Howard Stern.
Then a couple days later we get in the car together and she plugged her phone into the aux and turned on Revolver .
She likes The Beatles and George and Paul’s solo stuff, but she generally would rather listen to other things, so it was truly heartwarming for her to request we listen to a Paul McCartney interview and then turn on Revolver because she wanted to listen to it.

Oh I think I spotted a John and Yoko sketch by John behind him as well? It looks like they’re wearing their wedding suits.Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s the original.
It’s called The Honeymoon, dates to 1969, and was one of the 14 lithographs in John’s 1970 Bag One exhibition which was raided by the police due to the erotic nature of some of the lithographs.
The 14 lithographs were made available as a set for purchase in a limited edition of 300 copies, each signed by John.
