Nothing makes you gain a new appreciation for a Beatles song like hearing it in the wild. It’s like meeting someone you know but aren’t close to in a room full of strangers.
Anyway, I was watching a random video about Russian culture and someone in the comments quoted the chorus of Back In The USSR . Made me smile

Offline Visited Strawberry Fields in Central Park and also the Dakota building today. I was expecting to get a little emotional, but it all felt very tranquil. I liked how simple the memorial was.

Offline Was watching the celeb version of the quiz show “Pointless” Saturday.
Third round – two pairs left. Topic of one question in round: Famous Meetings. One of the five options, along the lines of:
“Which musician did John Lennon first meet at St. Peter’s Church Fete in Liverpool on 7 July 1957?”
No one went for it, but it was a pretty good answer with, if I recall correctly, a score of 26 (the idea of the quiz is to get a lowest score out of 100 you can).

I’ve only managed that a few times myself. And usually, I’m incredibly disappointed. Once, when I was at a summer camp, someone wearing a Rubber Soul shirt claimed to have actually never heard of The Beatles. I suppose the shirt didn’t say “Beatles” on it…
