So are you trying to say that getting into The Beatles through another person instead of Google makes you less of a fan? What is the difference?
I didn’t get that at all. I understood the statement as, unless someone figures out within themselves the greatness of the Beatles, they’re not going to get it just because someone they know talks about the band a lot. In other words,
Try to realise it’s all within yourself
No one else can make you change

Yeah that’s not really what I meant by what I said. When I said “wish” I meant “oh that’d be cool” not “I want to change their minds about it.” There’s not much to change their minds about anyway. They already like them, but they’re not obsessed.
Not sure @Timothy was talking about you specifically. Can’t speak for others but I feel he was simply making a personal observation.
Yep.

We have a substitute English teacher for the next few weeks. Today in English class, she wanted to learn our names, so we played a “fun game” (the type of thing you do in primary school, not high school ). What we had to do was say our first name and something we like that starts with the first letter of our name, like “My name is Henry and I like horses” (yes, someone actually said that). Then there was this one guy who said “My name is <name that starts with Y> and I like Yesterday by The Beatles.

Shame he didn’t say “My name is <name that starts with Y> and I like Your Mother Should Know by The Beatles” or maybe “and I like You by George Harrison .”

Sitting outside a pub where the hot sun is beating down and a car has just driven by playing ’Here Comes The Sun ’ up loud.
A strangely pleasant and pleasing experience.

Was watching an English quiz show on TV the other day, and one of the questions was “Which Beatles track is about Mia Farrow’s sister”?

Re: Becoming by Michelle Obama
“Don’t you want to come downstairs tonight and hear Paul McCartney play?”
“Mom, please. No.”
Why this wouldn’t happen to be the performance by Paul at the White House where he sang a certain special song for the First Lady, would it?
