I drive through the Maine towns of Scarborough, etc.
In case you were wondering – as of yet, I've not had to put my hat on backwards and knock out the windscreen.
1. Do they have an annual fair there?
2. What does that mean?
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

1. Sadly, there is no annual fair for Simon or Garfunkel to attend.
2. …
I do remember one incident: going up the motorway when the windscreen got knocked out by a pebble. Our great road manager Mal Evans was driving and he just put his hat backwards on his hand, punched the windscreen out completely, and drove on. This was winter in Britain and there was freezing fog and Mal was having to look out for the kerb all the way up to Liverpool – 200 miles.

Now, if someone would settle a little town named Stoke-on-Trent, Vermont; my tour would be complete. Maybe I'll win the lottery, buy Brattleboro and rename it. Is that cheating?

First you need to move the River Trent to Vermont
I told her I didn’t

Whenever I drive from my current home in midcoast Maine to my hometown in upstate New York to visit family, I experience a series of Beatley Moments.
While listening to the Fabs in the car, it's almost as if I'm on tour with them as I drive throught the Maine towns of Scarborough and York as well as the New Hampshire towns of Portsmouth, North Hampton (slightly diff. spelling), Exeter, Manchester, Bedford, Peterborough and Dublin.
Ha ha! I think I was watching something of theirs where they did list all the British towns they visited while touring in the early days, and I cracked up at all the places they played that oh, if only, could have been just a few miles away from me.
Northampton is a smallish town in Western MA, Zig. 🙂 So there ya go.

Right, Star!
That was on Anthology – the scene where they show a van motoring down the highway while a rolling list of all the towns in which they played is shown. Every time I watch that I think, “been there…drove through there once…isn't so-and-so from there?”
For those who actually live near the original cities/towns it may not be as big a deal, but I think it's cool.

I had the nicest Beatley moment today. I woke up today feeling a bit down. I always have the TV in the news channel on to check the time, but today I didn’t want to hear news. So when I was having breakfast I decided to change the channel to VH1 and then, I see my beautiful blue Prince ….
singing Something . I dropped my sandwich and I stared at the TV with a stupid grin on my face. It was great. I think I can't erase the stupid grin from my face.
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……

Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.

Sometimes, it's hard to think that some of the posters are adults.
Kidding, kidding. That's pretty funny, though.

Okay, I was getting into my car, and my mom was already in. She had it on CBC Radio 2, and then it said something about them playing the song that they use to wake the astronauts. The song was Good Day Sunshine .

Yeah – count me in. I hope I never grow up.
Great moment, mith!

Well the thing is guys that honestly I’m really down, not the “I want to kill myself” but rather, sick of watching the world falling apart. I’m not kidding. I think all this is truly getting me, or I’m just so tired of all this. So watching George when I didn’t expect him was so nice.
Now I had a Beatley moment quite funny last night : I was listening to Everybody’s got something to hide except from me and my monkey, and you can listen to something that sounds like footsteps. I was going home, I listened to that, and then I turned around and then I realized it was the song and I was like “Damn you John!!!”
And I think Sun King that Paul sang the song live to these guys in a concert right????

1 – It's because you care. One of the things that makes you mith is the fact that you care so much.
Stop watching the news so much, girl. I don't mean to say you should not be informed – you're an educator, after all. What I'm saying is you can't change what has happened. You can only change how you deal with it.
For what it's worth; I just grab the headlines, process the info, donate when I can, pray like hell when I can't and move on to the next crisis. My watching 24 hour non-stop gut-wrenching coverage is not going to change any of that.
Hope that helps.

It helps a lot Zig, and actually you're right. I might go this Sunday to church and lit a candle and stop watching the news unless I have to. The thing is, the news get you. You hear that someone was a victim of all this mess.
Anyway sorry for talking about this guys. Anyway let's go back into topic. Beatley moments anyone?
