My Beatley moment–our local music radio always plays Yesterday at the end of a programme when there are still 1 or 2 minutes left.I put on a HUGE smile
and sing along every time I hear it and this has apparently influenced my mum–now she’s able to hum the tune(unfortunately she doesn’t understand English and that’s all she can do
)
Edit: Another moment–on December 8th last year I visited a bookstore and happened to see an artwork collection of John Lennon 
I felt kind of ecstatic and decided to carry it home at the sight of it.This brought me some joy on such a sad day.

I’m reading this book, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, and two of the characters are talking about how they’re so different but they’re good writing partners (ah, writing partners).
“Yeah, but it’s like John Lennon writing with Taylor Swift instead of Paul McCartney ”
“Get over your self, you’re not half as pretty as Taylor Swift”
I couldn’t help but saying aloud, “You’re not half as pretty as Paul, either”.
Okay I know this is old but I was looking through the thread and I saw this and I couldn’t resist. I love that book and that is literally my favorite part (it’s actually a pretty boring part but it has Beatles so that makes it the best by default)
Also, in another Rainbow Rowell book (Eleanor & Park) the Beatles are mentioned multiple times. Eleanor makes Park a tape of Beatles songs (from Revolver and Rubber Soul , such good taste!). She also gives him a copy of The Catcher In the Rye, and when he thanks her, she says something along the lines of “Just don’t kill John Lennon or anything.” Which went right over my head the first time I read it, but it’s cool.
I’m starting to wonder if Rainbow Rowell is a bit of a Beatles fan…

Offline ^ Heh that would be pretty cool but I doubt it’ll happen. I’m honestly not sure why we were there in the first place, but I’m not complaining… taking notes was so much more bearable when I could look up at their faces every once in a while…
I was especially happy because that’s one of the few concerts I’ve seen all the way through

My brother knows a fair bit about the Beatles (because he lives with two major fans) but he mostly just tolerates them– he doesn’t care about them at all. It’s very sad. (and he teases me about my obsession, too…)
