Offline I’m in a restaurant and they just played a cover of Beautiful Boy. I’m simultaneously happy that they played a John song and appalled that they didn’t play John’s version, which is clearly the best.

I just got back from the bookstore, where I had an amazing Beatles experience. I was looking at the graphic novels, trying to find a suitable Christmas present for my brother, when Twist And Shout began to play. Literally seconds into the song, my eyes fell upon THIS. I knew it was a sign and I bought it immediately.
Yes, that’s right. It’s the movie Yellow Submarine … in comic book form.

That is perfect! I have the same policy with two exceptions: If the movie isn’t based on a book I’ll watch it, and if the book came after the movie then I’ll see the movie first. Both of these rules apply to YS.

Offline I was just at a Hawaiian beach performance a couple of hours ago (stage performances, etc) and I am sure I heard the melody of Day Tripper during an instrumental section. In fact, I know I did. A Beatles fan knows these things automatically.
