Two moments – one @Beatlebug -ley and one Beatley – from last night. While enjoying fish & chips and a few adult bevvies at a local eatery, I heard Pink Floyd’s ‘Fearless’ followed a few songs later by ‘A Day In The Life ‘.
In all of my years of going out to restaurants, bars, etc…, I’ve never heard ‘Fearless’ being played. Très cool.
I was all, “ooh-ooh, can’t wait to tell Beatlebug!”

Had a funny moment today. Was in a car and someone said slow down. I added, “yeah, slow down baby now you’re moving way too fast.” Not sure if anyone got the reference, but I enjoyed it.

YouTube suggested a long stream of April Fools videos for me (which reminded me I forgot to prank this forum somehow), and one of them was an Ellen video:
Nice to see the audience was disappointed, too!

I got excited when my music teacher told our class that we were performing Photograph next, assuming it was Ringo’s, only to find out at rehearsal it was Ed Sheeran’s song.

I was jamming in the music room with some random acquainantances (not really people I know), and after a few songs, one of them suggested Eight Days A Week …
Holey: Oooo! I know that one!
Bass player: Cool, let’s do it!
Random ‘vocalist’: I only know this through The Beatles: Rock Band. And I don’t know the lyrics.
Holey: Look them up. LET’S PLAY!!!!

I live right next to a reasonably-busy street and when I have the window open, I can hear snippets of what people are listening to in their cars.
Just heard:

Was trying to find somewhere else to post this but have no idea where.
Heard Slade’s song ‘Everyday‘ and came upon the following in its Wiki entry.
During a 2017 live question and answer event with Lea at the Robin 2 club, Lea was asked whether his wife received a writing credit for the song. He replied: “No, she didn’t. I feel really bad about that and I have spoken to Nod about it. She should have a credit, it should be Lea, Lea, Holder. Why I didn’t credit Lou on it was because it wasn’t that long before with the John and Yoko thing going on, where Yoko was in the studio all the time and it was messing about with the Beatles. And I didn’t want to have that sort of pressure. I mean, Lou wouldn’t have done it anyway, she would never have pressured me. She should have a credit now I think, I should put it to the publishers that that’s what we should do.”
Those Beatles get everywhere.

I walked through the front doors of Disney’s Pop Century resort and said, “Lead me to your Beatles” to no one on particular. Eight Days A Week started playing. I have also heard Penny Lane and I Feel Fine in the main building.
As mom and I were walking around the grounds of the resort looking at everything, we approached the sign for 1964 and I said “the Beatles better be there” and sure enough they were!
The sign for the year I was born has Yellow Submarine on it.
While riding on the trolly earlier in the week, I took this picture.
Mom saw the general direction I had aimed for the picture. She asked me what I had taken a picture of. I told her just to keep looking and she would find it. I know you all will too.

I want all those things in my closet. Especially Beatle boots.
We went to a seafood restaurant last night which was playing some quite agreeable radio… they actually played ‘Heart Of The Country ‘!!! I couldn’t believe it! You never hear deep cuts like that.
And as we were leaving they began playing ‘Hey Jude ‘, and due to family members taking forever in the bathroom I got to hear almost the whole thing.

Recently, both myself and my fiance (fortunately, also a serious beatle fan) travelled to Kintyre in search of a certain farmhouse. We both knew Paul and Linda desired somewhere reclusive, but never for a second were we aware of how much so…!! Finally however, after a beautiful 2 mile trek and almost sinking without trace countless times in the surrounding marshland……..
We would have reached touching distance had we not heard a radio blaring inside; my head suggests it was a caretaker of the property but my heart, well who knows…….??!!
