I’m having a Beatley moment because this is the first time I have listened to The Beatles in three months or more (unless I’m wrong and I did). I don’t remember when the last time was, but I think it was last year, unless you count the Concert for George movie I went to a few weeks ago. I’m listening to the Sgt. Pepper remaster and I’m really enjoying it.
Let me examine that claim….I think I watched the “Making of Imagine ” video, but that’s not a Beatles album. I also watched one of the 1+ blu-rays, but I can’t remember when. I think the last album I heard was Abbey Road at the breakfast table last year sometime?

An instrumental version of ‘Penny Lane ‘ keeps appearing in the BBC’s ‘Ken Dodd: Talking Comedy’, being screened in tribute to Ken.

I’ve just watched The Deuce, starring James Franco. One of the characters mentions Penny Lane in it, and name checks The Beatles

Last night we were watching reruns of Whose Line Is It Anyway?. In one episode, Wayne Brady had to sing a song about lawyers in the style of Yoko Ono. The song title he had to use was called Attorneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hilarious.
In the next episode, Ryan Stiles posed as a news reporter who had to guess what was happening on a green screen behind him while the other panelists provided subtle clues. The scene on the screen was of angry sea cows. Brad Sherwood asked, “what is your favorite Beatles song?”. Stiles answered something along the lines of “I can’t say it on TV without being sued”. Sherwood replied “Goo Goo Goo Good idea!”.

The passport example in this story caught my eye (before I saw the caption under the picture). My eyes are tuned in.
Last night, we were eating in a very busy, noisy restaurant. Above the din, I heard Imagine . My ears are tuned in.
I love being tuned in to the Beatles.

I was watching an episode of Roseanne and they’re talking about an English person
Roseanne: “…and plus, he sounds like Ringo. And who likes Ringo?”
Jackie: “I like Ringo”
Finally found some Ringo love on tv. Usually when they mention him in tv shows it’s to make fun of him.

^And you can impress your co-workers when you say, “oh yes – that picture on the cover was from Top Of The Pops when they did ‘Paperback Writer ‘ and ‘Rain ‘”.

…and the fact that, as @Ron Nasty reminded us recently, it was their only live appearance on the show.

The Beatles are watching (over) me.
I was jamming out to Lennon’s New York City on my to way to work when I stopped for a red light right behind a car with a New York license plate.

A rarity in life. ‘Can’t Buy Me Love ‘, the studio version with various news footage, is on a music tv station. Very rare to find any station playing Beatles unless it’s a dedicated show.
The same station has also shown promos for ‘Jealous Guy ‘ and ‘Coming Up ‘.
