I was just reading the Beatles Bible Theme Song thread where a joint cover of With A Little Help Of My Friends is discussed and suddenly my phone, which is on shuffle mode, plays the Young Sound’s cover of this particular song! And I have hundreds of songs, so the probability is quite small indeed.
Anyway, I truly love that cover, it’s probably my favourite Beatles cover ever.

I was walking to lunch and there was a couple behind me playing Rocky Raccoon from an iPod singing along to the words.
I suprised them when i joined in really loud out of nowhere.

^Wow, that’s pretty cool! If I would have witnessed that, I would have considered the one joining in the singing to be the coolest lad around.
Today I have attended a rehearsal as a guitarist in a band which has formed for a gig at a small festival tomorrow and at some point the two singers should practice singing to an audience. So they faced the wall and said ‘okay, let’s imagine the wall is our audience… or maybe the wooden cupboard over there’ at this point our bandleader suddenly began to sing ‘isn’t it good, Norwegian Wood ?’ and we all sang along a bit.

My substitute art teacher was using Pandora and there’s an awful lot of Beatles songs I’ve heard her play (and by “awful lot”, I mean more than the actual art teacher). I remember her playing Come Together and I Want You (She’s So Heavy) sometime this past week.

I was just listening to the commentary to the cricket match currently between Australia and England, and the radio commentary went to an ad break, where they played the first 30 seconds of Roll Over Beethoven

Yesterday evening I met my friends for the first time since I cut my hair. One of them remarked, ‘You are looking increasingly Beatlesque these days,’ and then one second later my other friend walked up and said nearly the same thing — ‘Your hair looks very Beatles-ish’.
Moptop success

Years ago,me and my parents went to London England for a weekend stay (I think I was around 7 or 8 years old at the time). As we walked up to the reception desk,my dad said something, and the receptionist said “oh,you’re from Liverpool”? My dad obviously said yes. The receptionist then asked if we were Beatles fans. Apparently, the Beatles had stayed in that hotel sometime during the ’60’s, and she told us about how the staff used to cut up their sheets and give them to guests as a souvenir.

Today, someone in my year level, whom I kind of know, said to me ‘Guess what I’m doing today’.
Turns out she’s seeing Paul McCartney , and then we discussed favourite albums/songs.
…and then we quizzed each other on our Beatles knowledge… and I lost. (I forgot which book Mr Weirdo was reading when he shot John Lennon .)
So… I tried to mention the BB, but she needed to go somewhere before I got a chance to.

Watching a documentary on the Apollo missions called For All Mankind. There is a scene where the astronauts on Apollo 13 are being updated by NASA on the major news stories on earth. One of the items was “The Beatles announced that they will no longer record music as a group.”

There’s a live version of All You Need Is Love by Noel that I particularly like…it’s a performance he did in 2007 Live for Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall.

I was at a party on Saturday night and at about 2am me and a few friends sat round giggling at funny Beatles videos, and slagging off Liam Gallagher.

Father McKenzie, BeatlebugI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

A couple of Beatley moments in this youtube clip, I like this guy’s stuff about retro tech. The first is a mention that the Beatles used CTS studios to do overdubs on the Shea Stadium film footage, because CTS was the place to do audio/visual syncing. The second is more unexpected:
I’d never heard them do this kind of advertising! The whole thing is worth watching/listening to, it’s a slice of history.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.
