I was watching this (very excellent) documentary and what did I see but
a photo of a certain very familiar drummer on the wall of Mr Gilmour’s houseboat recording studio!
Also, at the very end, there was a scene of the Gilmour family and friends round a campfire, and David’s daughter was playing a ukulele and singing ‘Hey Jude ‘.
Not to mention David talking about his early days of playing in bands, when the Beatles would release a new album, they would haunt the music shops and try to learn the new songs as soon as they came out, and thenceforth play them very badly with the thrilling announcement that ‘It’s JUST been released TODAY!’

I was just watching a YouTube video, and the ad before it was for Peroni, and the music they were using was an Italian version of Here Comes The Sun .

I came across a couple of Beatles-related things when I was reading something to pass time the other day. The first one was a trivia question that asked “Which George was a member of The Beatles?”.
This was pretty much my reaction when I saw that:
The other one was a short article that mentioned Blackburn, Lancashire. Here’s the article in question:
Money in mail: Taxi driver Abubakar Lorgat of Blackburn, Lancashire (England), got the surprise of his life recently when he opened his mail. He received an envelope with an apology from a thief who had stolen his wallet, which contained a full day’s earnings. The interesting thing is that the theft had occurred 12 years earlier. The sender also returned the money, which amounted to £250. The package was sent anonymously, so Lorgat does not know the identity of the thief. However, he is grateful that the person had a change of heart.

One of Ahhh Mom’s friends (we’ll call her Rita) went out to eat with us Sunday. She told me this story.
When Rita was a teenager, a friend of hers dated a guy that looked like Paul McCartney . While introducing him to her parents, Rita called him Paul McCartney . She was so embarrassed.

I have family in Dingle Liverpool, and one of my grandads friends dated Ringo briefly when he was with Rory Storm. They’d split up before he joined the Beatles, but I still think it’s pretty cool nonetheless

The other day, we’d stopped at a red light, and all of a sudden my Beatley-radar detected the presence of a very familiar ‘I really wanna see you’ emanating from the open-topped convertible in front of us. I grinned my face off, and Silly Dad made a thumbs up to the driver, who nodded and smiled.
…I then had to play All Things Must Pass , of course.

Final Jeopardy question today. One person got it right. One missed it because he only wrote “Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonley Heart”. The third person wrote The White Album , but scratched it out and wrote The Wall.

I saw it too. I got that one right, but I didn’t have enough to wager. Alas.

The correct answer: “Well, I don’t know any of them personally.”

Okay, I have to ask. What is Sir Paul eating?
I’m guessing not a steak sandwich.

Everyone in my family knows I’m on a first name basis with all of The Beatles, but I don’t even know how many times I’ve been asked something like “Who’s Paul?” or “Richard who?” Like bruh, do you even know me?
