I saw this as I walked by the display case in the library. I wanted to start skipping and singing Penny Lane .

A few days ago I was in media class, and what did I hear playing?
None other than a cover of Roll Over Beethoven by some bug band.
I also swear I heard the beginning of Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite ! as songs were being flipped through, but I’m not entirely sure.

Just did a statistics problem about strawberry farmers entitled ‘Strawberry Fields.” When we reviewed it in class, everyone looked at me.

Was the question something like, “How many strawberry farmers are likely to believe nothing is real?”

I was at Red Robin and the thing you pay with was asking trivia questions, and one of them was pictures of The Beatles and it was asking what band they are in.

In French lesson today, we had to listen to and write down the missing lyrics to to the song Cette année-là by Claude François (a French cover of December, 1963 by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, except this version is about 1962). I was happy when I got the lyric sheet to fill in to see that The Beatles are mentioned in the song.
“Les Beatles étaient quatre garçons dans le vent” which roughly translates to “The Beatles were four boys in the wind”.

Ah Cloclo, absolute legend of a man! Died because he tried to fix a light bulb while in the shower- zap!
This is my favourite song of his
If you ever go to a French wedding, make sure to know that dance ^. It’s the French equivalent of Oops Upside Your Head.
I do like the man though, he was one of the first ever ‘big’ French artists to include black women as his prominent backup dancers. Good man Cloclo!
Also ‘quatre garcons dans le vent’ is slang for ‘four boys who are cool’. It’s the title of the film ‘A Hard Day’s Night ‘ in French ‘Quatre garcons dans le vent’.

Why did he have a light in his shower, would it not have been more sensible to have it in the bathroom/shower room, away from the shower? Then again, he tried to fix it whilst in so sense isn’t high on the list of inclusion here.

Well, it wasn’t technically a light bulb that killed him but he had a light in his bathroom that had the tendency to tilt slightly. He was very nit-picky and would always adjust it whenever he saw it was crooked. He didn’t know this but the wires were wrapped in silk that began to wear away slightly every time he moved the light. Eventually one day with his wet hands after/during his shower, he went to fix the light and the wires touched. As I’ve said previously, zap, dead.
Here was his bathroom
(I love the monogrammed shower curtains).
