Speaking of Jeopardy, the other day the question was “Beatle song pertaining to an amusement park, later a famous book.”

I forget if it also said “1968” (Easy question for a Brit, tough for an American.)

Tough for Americans? Helter Skelter  was released over here too.

 Two that happened recently:

– Whilst browsing in a shop, I found a Beatles Cartoon tank top.

– I was watching It Might Get Loud (for those of you who don’t know it, it’s a documentary-type-thing about the electric guitar and related kind of stuff starring Jack White (from The White Stripes), The Edge (from U2) and Jimmy Page (ahdn_george_08). I really recommend it, and not just because Jimmy’s in it! a-hard-days-night-paul-5) and near the end in a scene with all of them together, the camera panned in on one of the records in the room with them, which (alas!) was Beatles For Sale a-hard-days-night-john-1

@Evangeline , I think that what ItSwD means is that the fairground ride in question is a type of slide that is more popular in Britain, and that the term “Helter Skelter ” would not be very well known in America due to the fact that it is scarcely used there. Thus, it would be more difficult for an American to answer the question.

In the TV show Mom, someone asked a question and someone guessed the answer was The Beatles. The explanation was, “They’re old, she’s old.”

Only music can save us.

I didn’t know what Helter Skelter referred to until I joined this site. Until then, I had no clue it was a slide.

Same here!

Another Beatley moment: I was playing one of the pinball machines that we have in our basement a few days ago, and of all the songs that it played, one of them was an instrumental of Money. a-hard-days-night-john-1

That’s a Pink Floyd song oh… erm… cover. ahdn_george_06 Yeah, I guess that counts.

Can’t they call it a pub or Public House and save us all this garbage.

I’ve always wanted to buy a haunted building, convert it into a liquor store, and call it “Wine and Spirits.”

Was in Menorca and was walking past a little outdoor-music-bar-thing when I heard the first few notes of I Saw Her Standing There . Turned out there was a Beatles tribute act called yesterday and today warming up. Saw them later and they were VERY good

At a farmer’s market I went to today, I was looking at some produce and suddenly Love Me Do began to play on the speakers.

Also, later I was watching American Ninja Warrior and a competitor’s last name was McCartney.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I saw a guy with a Beatles shirt.
