It’s hard to be disgusted when the food is soooooooooooooooo good. You often hear about baby back ribs with meat that falls off the bone. These ribs have meat that, when tapped by a fork, raises a white flag in surrender. If you listen close enough, you can hear it say “take me, I’m yours”.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, ribs….

I was in Amoeba the other day (a popular music store in Los Angeles, San Francisco . . and I think Berkeley) and realized how much Beatles merchandise is available. There’s a lot of box sets . . a big Magical Mystery Tour film box set. It would take me sooooooo long to absorb all of this content, nonetheless to actually get it all but I hope to one day and hopefully these projects will still be produced for a long time to come so I don’t have to pay “out of print” prices

Final Jeopardy is Beatles Songs.

Later a book title, the 2-word title of this 1968 song is a British name for a spiral slide seen at fairgrounds.

As I have mentioned elsewhere, I am currently reading Ginger Baker’s autobiography. I’m only 120 pages in and, thus far, the following Beatle people have been in the story.

Finished this book today. Here’s a full list.

Denny Laine (The Graham Bond Organisation toured with the Moody Blues. Later on, Denny Laine was part of Ginger Baker’s Air Force)

Brian Epstein (Cream’s manager Robert Stigwood had some business dealings with Brian Epstein)

Linda Eastman (took pictures of Cream)

Billy Preston (see below)

George Harrison (mentions appearing on Billy Preston’s That’s The Way God Planned It album and working with B.P. and G.H.)

Paul McCartney and Wings (Paul and Wings recorded part of Band On The Run  in Baker’s studio)

Pattie Boyd (he attended the wedding of Eric Clapton and Pattie Boyd)

Ringo Starr (he made a couple of guest appearances with Ringo’s All-Starr Band in 1997)

I would like to see what spiral slide named Yellow Submarine would look like, maybe it spirals down into the ocean.

I saw a bumper sticker that said Lavender Fields Forever, even though to me, all lavender can burn to death in a large furnace.

In a trinket shop there was a blackboard that said All You Need Is Love .)

A few minutes ago, It Don’t Come Easy came on Pandora, and I mentioned to Silly Dad how George had helped Ringo with the song. ‘Ringo was often getting by with a little help from his friends, you know,’ said I. He came back with, ‘Yes, after all, it don’t come easy.’ ahdn_ringo_09

A conversation between me and my mom today:

Me: “One hoax that’s been going around on Facebook throughout the year is one that says that some major celebrity is moving to a small town near you. I think it started with a fake story about Leonardo DiCaprio moving to Woodstock, Illinois. It’s been repeated in so many incarnations that even Snopes isn’t keeping track of them all

Mom: “That’s funny. I don’t see those much. What I get a lot are stories that say that a celebrity has died. Why would someone do that? How little respect can they have for those celebrities by spreading these rumors?”

Me: “Well, Paul McCartney has been saying that since 1969.”

You need to have a word with whoever done the artwork that they have put 1967 Beatles with a 1964 Beatles song. a-hard-days-night-paul-3
