I was watching tv earlier today and a school nurse was trying to give some students some kind of over-the-counter drug to make them energetic, and she called the pills “blue meanies”.

Was it Glee? I just watched that episode online.
Some Charlie Manson show has episode titles as the descriptions: Helter skelter, Happiness Is A Warm Gun , and why don’t we do it in the road? (I could care less about the show.)

Cannot find the advert online but I swear blind that the tune at the beginning of that is the same as what can be heard 1:35 into ‘Aerial Tour Instrumental’ (‘early title of ‘Flying ‘) without all the other effects.
As soon as I heard it I recognised the tune.

Just been watching the latest episode of NCIS to reach freeview: Series 12, Episode 18, Status Update.
The Ziva-replacement makes an observation about the case, and Tim asks her how she knows.
“How?” she says. “The same way that I know you spent the weekend trying to sync the Beatles’ Abbey Road with Jaws.”
To which Tim protests, “Let me tell you something: Octopus’s Garden starts at the exact same time that the Kintner boy…”
Mmmm… AR and Jaws… I wonder…

Was the film Guardians of the Galaxy or its upcoming sequel, @Beatlebug? If so, more about the Beatles-inspired Marvel character…

No idea, I wasn’t paying much attention. The film was done in the early 2000s.

An Un-Beatley Moment from yesterday. We once again went to that favorite restaurant of ours – the one I’ve posted about several times that always plays at least one Beatles song while I am there. This time, no Beatles song – neither group nor solo.
Harumph!

You should have refused to pay the bill until one came on. Or walked out in disgust.
