While I am posting on The Forum, Zag is watching a movie. One of the characters in the movie stopped by his daughter’s house holding hot beverages. After the daughter greeted him, she asked “did you stop by to bring me tea and sympathy?”

I had two today: paul-mccartney-thumb_gif

The first one was when I was browsing in a shop, and I noticed A Hard Day’s Night and She Loves You teacups with vinyl-pattern saucers. I was thinking about getting one, but I couldn’t decide which one I liked the best. a-hard-days-night-paul-3

The second one happened when I stopped at a bistro and they were playing Julia ever so faintly in the background; which was very interesting indeed, because it’s not really a tune that you think anyone would know (with the exception of hardcore Beatlemaniacs like us a-hard-days-night-john-1).

Playing Guitar Hero 5. Created a Ringo character. Play a song. Get some trophy in-game called “The Fabricated Four”. Made me chuckle. Guess the trophy is awarded when you create a certain number of custom characters. *shrug*

I see that every morning when I take my dog out for her first pee. She has to constantly remind the rabbits that it’s her yard, not theirs.

My dog loves to chase rabbits. Cats are more fun though. Armadillos are gear to bark at in his book. Field mice are fun to pick up and move around. However, squirrels are on the top of his list – he will tree one and sit for hours under the tree (if we let him).

Nope, no Beatley moment in this post.

Never one to miss an opportunity – 22:35 -> 22:47 and 25:35 -> 25:57 in the video below. Tho would recommend pouring yourself a drink, getting comfortable, and watching the whole episode.

I almost forgot about a Beatley Moment that I had yesterday! a-hard-days-night-ringo-6

Me and two buddy ol’ pals of mine were goofing off and messing with each other, and a lad (one of the buddy ol’ pals) described the tricks we were playing on each other as “mind games.” a-hard-days-night-george-9 The same lad was also rambling on singing his song about nothing in particular, when I heard him say “What Is Life “, which reminded me of you-know-who —> ahdn_george_08

Stay Beatley, buddy ol’ pal lad. paul-mccartney-thumb_gif

@meanmistermustard One minute in, and I’m hooked. If there’s one actor I can’t resist, it’s Hugh Laurie. Going to watch the rest now. Cheers for sharing.

Last night, I was listening to a 50’s playlist on random mode. While ‘Twenty Flight Rock’ was playing, my thoughts naturally went to the day Paul met John and played that song. The very next song was ‘Raunchy’. ahdn_george_01

That was surely planned, too much coincidence.

I know, right? I dig Beatley coincidences like that. That’s why I created the thread.

Don’t know if this counts as a Beatley moment per se, but the song Adventure of a Lifetime by Coldplay was on the radio the other day, and I noticed that at around 3:50 into the song, the melody is exactly the same as It’s Only Love ‘s melody.

Also known as Egg-Rock, Egg-Roll, E-George, Eggy, Ravioli, Eggroll Eggrolli...

The Leaving Cert (the exams that I was doing last year, the Irish-equivilant to the UK A-Levels) are on again and look what came up on the history paper today for 100 marks (that’s 20% of your overall grade btw).

What were the achievements of one or more of the following: Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Simone de Beauvoir; John Lennon ?

I swear to god if I was doing that paper I would have burst into tears it would have been so perfect (especially as the history course is very broad and there’s a whole lot to learn in 2 years). It was just a wonderful question made for ASJ. My school don’t even do the topic that was under but if I saw that I would 100% have done it because JOHN FREAKING LENNON WAS ON THE PAPER (and Simone de Beauvoir but who really cares about her when John Lennon is on your school exam).

That is all 😀

Who are Alexander Solzhenitsyn and Simone de Beauvoir?

De Beauvoir was a French feminist/writer. She has been linked to pedophilia though so I don’t think she’s the best candidate for students to be studying about. I quoted her in my college exams this year.

Solzhenitsyn was a Russian writer (apparently, I’ve never heard of him).

A random combination thrown in together there
