When I was visiting my mom at work yesterday, I noticed one of the costumers was wearing a shirt that had some logo on the front of it (no, not The Beatles’ logo). And the back of the shirt said “We get by with a little help from our friends”

I’ve mentioned before that every time we go to one of our favorite restaurants, we hear a Beatles song or a Beatle’s solo song. Since my father in law was in town, we took him out to dinner there last night. During the opening of ‘All You Need Is Love ‘, Zag turned to me and said “there you go”. The very next song was ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand ‘.

I was watching a YouTube video unrelated to the Beatles but when I looked in the comments, I saw some unrelated Beatles spam in a language other than English.
I think I know exactly what you’re talking about.

Nothing else on the the TV so turned on ‘BBC – Secret Files 2‘ and within minutes the Beatles appear. The focus was on banned songs at the BBC and ‘I Am The Walrus ‘ is the focus. Here is the text of the letter Tom Sloan sent
“In the Beatles film (so far uncompleted) “The Magical Mystery Tour “, they sing a number called “I Am The Walrus “. A disc has now been issued.
The lyrics contain a very offensive passage and after talking to Anna Instone, we have both agreed not to play it on radio or television.
Although not officially banned, it will not be heard on “Top Of The Pops” or “Juke Box Jury”.
I should be grateful if you would ensure that any other possible outlets are similarly blocked off.

A Lennony Moment
This morning, in a Team Meeting, we were discussing various companies that we may be taking on as clients. Not recognizing one company name, a co-worker asked about the nature of the business. The assigned Account Executive said, “they manufacture products made from Steel And Glass .”
Me and the other Beatles fan in the room exchanged knowing glances.
Now I can’t get that song out of my head – it’s turning out to be a great day!

My seven years old brother came home from school and I asked him about his day “we played musical statues and everyone got to pick a song and I picked Yellow submarine!” He walked around the living room singing it in fake english.

As I have mentioned elsewhere, I am currently reading Ginger Baker’s autobiography. I’m only 120 pages in and, thus far, the following Beatle people have been in the story.
Denny Laine
Brian Epstein (twice)
Linda Eastman (pre-Paul)
Billy Preston

So in a few days, my school is hosting a trip to Washington DC for my class. They do it for the freshmen who have just graduated every year, and now it’s my turn. Anyway, we’re gonna be taking a big charter bus on a 16 hour trip from Kansas to DC. They have TV’s and a DVD player on the bus, so we get to bring in DVD’s for the whole bus to watch. Since we’re going to be on a bus, I plan to bring in a movie about buses: Magical Mystery Tour ! My classmates will probably hate it, but that’s the point!

Would it not be better to bring something amusing that they’ll enjoy (like AHDN ) and turn them on to the Beatles? Also, might there be an adult on this bus who would object to, ah, certain more graphic bits of 60s counterculture?
I don’t mean to rain upon your parade, but we Beatleypeoples always need to add to our number.

It depends on the younger folk, but you do have a point. Help !, then, or Yellow Submarine — actually YS might be your best option. You can have the whole bus singing ‘WE ALL LIVE IN A YELLA SUBMARINE!’ (maybe)

^ I don’t know, AHDN has a certain charm to it, it has a good soundtrack but I imagine the majority of young’uns wouldn’t find it that interesting because you’d have to have at least a budding interest in the Beatles to appreciate it. Majority of them would just find it weird I think “hey mister can we have our ball back?”. If you have the 1 DVD, you could play some of their videos, might get people more interested in them than AHDN or MMT.
That and I agree with SG in that your teachers probably wouldn’t appreciate seeing some stripper getting her tits out in front of your class….even if it is censored.

I’d take Help ! because it has a stronger storyline than AHDN which I think you have to like the Beatles to enjoy. You could take Yellow submarine but I think it’s cooler watching the real lads than the cartoon ones. Then again Help ! might just be to weird depending on your classmates.
Have a nice trip
