A moment in “Sleepless in Seattle” which I watched again last night that I keep forgetting about. Kids listening to a record, turn to Tom Hanks who’s in the doorway, and the boy says “…if you play this backward it says Paul is dead”. And I laughed because I noticed that the record on the turntable had some kind of red label on it, not a Capitol or Apple label.

I was watching a Tom Hanks’ film last night as well (Beatle-Bibler connection), ‘cept I was watching ‘That Thing You Do’, Hanks’ first film that he wrote and directed himself.

It’s about a one-hit wonder band who become big in the U.S. in 1964- obviously Beatles’ references abound, that and Tom Hanks is a massive Beatles fan as well so it’s only natural that he’d put in a load of Beatle things in his first screenplay.

I like Tom Hanks.

End transmission.

On the Sopranos someone said All the Beatles songs equal 10 hours of music.

Depends on which Beatles songs you’re counting. The canon alone would be around eleven hours, and then there’s the Anthologies, Live At The BBC , etc…

A couple days ago, I went to see my older sister to do an early birthday celebration. Towards the end of the visit, we played a dice game. She put some Beatles on shuffle from her iTunes, because it was pretty neutral as far as musical tastes go.

Songs I remember hearing:

She’s Leaving Home

Good Morning Good Morning

A Day In The Life

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Don’t Pass Me By

Mother Nature’s Son

Helter Skelter

Revolution 9 (Yes, you read that right.)

Come Together

You Never Give Me Your Money

Sun King

The End

When I went to CVS to pick up stuff for me teeth, we ran across a teddy bear wearing a shirt similar to this:

There was also one that said “All You Need Is Love and chocolate” a-hard-days-night-ringo-10

I took on a new account recently. Of all the people I will be working with at the new company, two in particular stand out – Mrs. Ritchie and Mr. Starkey. a-hard-days-night-ringo-10

I’m going to a concert in February that’s playing all Beatles music! They’re playing all of Abbey Road , not sure what else. 😀

EDIT: I lied, it’s in April. 🙁 But it’s a big deal–some guitar player from the Animals is performing. A lot of the songs will be from Rubber Soul and Revolver

Beatles song titles were referenced during ‘Prime Ministers Questions‘ in the UK today.

I thought of Paul’s hazel-colored eyes when I came across this author’s name just now:

Hazell, Paul

You just reminded me of “Hey Jude ” when he just stares at the camera…. Needless to say, it’s a bit unnerving. XD

Was browsing a website that I hadn’t been on for a few weeks and in a few minutes, was greeted with this ad about a Beatles tribute band:

Rain_CitiWangTheatre_728x90_022616.jpgImage Enlarger

And it was basically the website I used to actually get into their music. Oh, the coincidences in life…

Saw a 4-dvd, 88 (or so) page magazine set in WH Smith’s yesterday. Looked cheap, horrible and tacky.

I was watching a Tony Braxton movie and in one of the scenes she’s in Times Square and Beatles Love was one of the advertisements.

Absolutely no prizes for guessing who turns up in the BBC’s ‘Six people who missed out on fame and fortune (after a man chose bike over £££ shares)’

Pete Best

Way back in 1960, drummer Pete joined a club band for a series of dates in Germany.

But a couple of years later, when they started recording, Pete was dismissed by the band’s manager.

He was replaced by a guy called Ringo Starr .

The group was The Beatles. They went on to do quite well.

I had 1.5 today.

On Bloomberg radio, they played Can’t Buy Me Love before doing a segment about Ralph Lauren.

While weeding books in the business section, I pulled a book titled Funny Money. That’s worth at least a half a Beatley moment for “funny paper”.
