I've been meaning to ask, M3, how did it go? Was your play a success? I haven't received my latest copy of Variety yet.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I was watching an awful quiz show again today, and one of the questions
was “the song “Danny boy” is set to which national anthem? Londonderry
Air, Belfast Air, or Armagh Air?” They managed to reference One After 909 and Anthology Mother Nature's Son in one question
Yesterday , my mum was driving me to see my psychologist. We were listening to Radio 2, they played some listenable but not memorable music. For a few days, I'd had what I thought was “hari rama kussi kosai” stuck in my head, and I was trying to remember what song it was from. We were nearly at the hospital when #9 Dream came on the radio. #9 Dream never comes on the radio. I had a feeling that the lyric was from #9 Dream, but I couldn't remember, so I sat in the car for as long as possible, got out slowly, and held the door open for a few seconds until I heard the line in question.
I told her I didn’t

Read This (From Joe's Article):
There can be little doubt, however, that the song was directly influenced by John Lennon 's continual experimentation with LSD, which hit a peak in 1967.

You are conflating “influence” and “inspiration”. The two are distinct.
For example, John may have just finished a particularly nice meal when he sat down to write Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds . That might have influenced some of his word choices (it might have put him in a better mood, for example), but it wouldn't have inspired it, and the song wouldn't be about Yorkshire Pudding.
Regardless, the paragraphs prior to and following that statement are:
Although the title was widely perceived to be a coded reference to LSD,
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds in fact took its name from a drawing of a
schoolfriend by the four-year-old Julian Lennon.
and:
However, in 1980 he claimed the main inspiration came from Alice In Wonderland.
It was Alice in the boat. She is buying an egg and it
turns into Humpty Dumpty. The woman serving in the shop turns into a
sheep, and the next minute they're rowing in a rowing boat somewhere –
and I was visualising that. There was also the image of the female who
would someday come save me – 'a girl with kaleidoscope eyes' who would
come out of the sky. It's not an acid song.

I was looking at fan photos on someone's blog, and there were a series of Maureen Starkey honoring her on the anniversary of her death, under the title Little Willow. Right then, my playlist started playing Little Willow. Odd.

I was teaching today prepositions of place and the question was “What's in your bag?”. I took mine and started showing the content. I said “A book, a notebook, some pencils, a cellphone, a Yellow submarine.… some papers.”..
(I have this on my cellphone)
