I’ve just realised I’ve had many Beatley moments these last weeks:

Today I was looking at the English textbooks in the school library (you never know what you’ll find) and there were some questions and one of them was “What are the name of the Beatles?”, and the options were “Noel, Vera, Chuck, Dave”, “John, Paul, Mick, Keith” or “John, Paul, George, Ringo”. As we all know, the correct answer is the first one, being Chuck my favourite member a-hard-days-night-george-10. I mean, who in the world would name their kid Ringo? (Though, I must admit whoever made up the answers played it well).

In the same book there was also a page with the lyrics of Hello Goodbye , another one had I Saw Her Standing There and some information (about Hamburg, Decca, Sgt Pepper , a bit deeper than normal) and in an excercise of another one there was the question “Which city are The Beatles from?”.

Also, my English teacher saw my Beatles notebook (I have four) and though it was awesome. Her favourite Beatle is Paul and she went to see him when he came in 2012 (or maybe last year, I don’t remember). And related to the English classes, for homework my brother had to write some words and put a picture of that thing. It could be anything, so as a joke I suggested rockstar. He actually put it with a picture of John (though, he chose it because I was at school). And one of his friends put singer and a photo of Paul.

I was practicing driving in a cemetery with my mom.  I saw a gravestone that said “Faul.”  I immediately thought of the “Paul is dead” rumors.

That reminds me, I saw a trivia question some months ago that asked, ‘What is singer Paul McCartney ‘s first name?’

I guess ‘singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/former Beatle’ is too much for a trivia question…

Another Lennon reference from work today. I’m working in the Library of Congress “M” call number section. Makes sense that I would run into Lennon there.

Book title: Guerrilla Minstrels: John Lennon , Joe Hill, Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan

Chris Webber quoted on why he was upset about his last minute inclusion in a documentary on the “Fab Five” Michigan basketball team:

“[The producer] says, ‘we’re wrapping up next week, we need to get you.’ I’m like, I’m not saying I was John Lennon , but my story’s pretty big in there.”

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

I brought in the mail just now and there was a flyer from Guitar Center (those are always fun). It proclaimed that their vinyl LPs ‘from major artists’ was on sale, and at the front was

The John Lennon Educational Bus is in town(or rather two cities down the road). Next, it will be in be in my hometown. It was at local high school and tonight its at local club. At the club they are having a battle of the bands. Whomever wins, will get to use the technology aboard the bus for a few days. One my friends is in a band that is playing.Tonight it (bus) will to the public at 6. I really want to go, but my allergies making me feel groggy.

More info about the bus:

ahdn_paul_06 AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! I want some.

The post office web site doesn’t say anything about Beatley references though… they’d probably have to pay royalties or something…

Dont see why. Can Apple copyright the phrase “From Me To You “? Would I have to pay them every time i wrote it on a card or gift tag?

Well, no, that’s why there are three songs called ‘I Need You ‘ by three different artists a-hard-days-night-george-9 My thinking is that they’d probably have to say something if they were specifically referencing the ‘Da da da da da dum dum da’ song. Which they probably aren’t.

Or maybe they are, who knows? Maybe the designer is a closet Beatles fan who wanted to slyly insert a little in-joke that only other Beatle fans would catch, without mentioning it to anyone else. a-hard-days-night-george-10

Walked past the pub I used to visit often and Eleanor Rigby was blaring out of the speakers and I later saw a guy in town who was wearing a Beatles shirt.

Ooo..I’ll have to get those and the Harry Potter stamps.

I forgot about few Beatlely moments.

My mother in law buys me these lithograph pictures of the Beatles. My latest two is a John Lennon one and one with all for of them in sweaters.

A month ago when I went to Jazz Fest I parked at City Park and took a shuttle bus to the fair grounds. There is a stadium at City Park where the Beatles played. We, however, park a little further north of that. When we were on the bus, I believe were on a bridge when my husband shouts at me (he was in the next seat over), “Hey, isnt that where The Beatles played?” I didnt answer, but I also couldn’t tell because it was raining at the time. On the way back we were closer to the stadium for me to view.  Yes, that’s where The Beatles played in New Orleans. 🙂
